Also the BA First Class service on board was very poor and not much better than Econ as far as the stewards were concerned. Food was better but really not by the difference you'd expect.

You preferred the food offering in Galleries over the Concorde Room ? That’s very surprising!!

OP - if I wasn’t already flying in business I’d suggest £399 per sector, stretching to £499 if you felt you really wanted to sleep. However a 7 hr sector is very different to a 12-14 hr flight where you can get a proper sleep.

My last east coast US returns were places which didn’t offer sleeper services and as a consequence didn’t get to sleep until about 3hrs into a 7hr flight.
