Parking obstruction

I would take a note of the dates, times and duration the car is there. Keep tickets of public transport journeys etc you had to take because you could not use your car, in case legal action is all that will resolve this matter.
You need to be absolutely certain that you can prove that you cannot drive out of your drive because of this car parked across the road before taking legal action. Photos might not be enough evidence and your solicitor will probably advise you to hire the services of the surveyor to do a dimensioned survey of the road. The court might even be adjourned to the private road for the judge to take a look at the situation (very unusual but does happen).0 -
We are having an issue similar in that our road is private, unadopted and on our deeds to the centre line and we pay to maintain our frontage. However, the council have put in a permit parking scheme without our consent and have advised us that even though it is our land we now have to pay via a permit to park on it!!0

This is exactly what I did when I had a slightly similar situation (private road, person double parking across the driveway opposite which then prevented me from leaving my drive).
I politely spoke to them and they, quite curtly, told me that when I need to leave my drive, they'll move the car.
So I started going to work at 5.30/6am. I only had to do it a couple of times and they stopped parking there.0 -
I think I'd become rather nocturnal and be needing to leave the house at midnight. Then perhaps again at 6am.
I suspect a few knocks at some very inconvenient times might move her along.0
