Do airline fare 'sales' really offer bargains?

    I have found the best prices for flights are the 'sales' that are not advertised.

    Recent examples are £530.00 business class return to Tokyo from Brussels on Qatar.

    £1350 return to Auckland from Manchester in business also with Qatar.

    £1,050 return to Hawaii from Dublin - in business/first with BA/AA.

    Factoring in a few quid and a few avios for positioning flights - the savings can be colossal.
