changing dns settings

Can anyone advise how I can change the dns settings on my router please? I don't want my youngster accessing harmful sites and I've read this is the best way to filter content. I've got a BT smart hub.

You could manually set them on the kids devices and that would protect them, leaving all your other "adult" devices open to the full internet.
