TSB making corrections on my transactions without telling me

However, she ran it through as a cash deposit and it shows up as such. The next day, she reversed the transaction, and then deducted the actual £50, so it was correct. I wasn't actually £50 up.
Counters deal in cash, not sure what the question is there. But it doesn't need more discussion. Thanks.
What evidence do you have that it was her?0 -
If I had to call every customer whose accounts I access every day, i'd need to work a 24 hour shift. Of course staff access accounts without letting people know, for many reasons. It's perfectly legitimate.0

Well someone must have. Her balancing off at the end of the day wouldn't have equally tallied in her till. God this isn't a court case, I think you're going to the extreme a bit!0 -

I went online a few days later to check my account generally, and saw that it had been marked as a £50 cash deposit, and that the following day there were two transactions I hadn't made. The first was COT Cash Deposit £50 marked as a withdrawal (COT doesn't appear in their list of abbreviations, however CPT and COR do as 'Correction') followed by £50 Cash Withdrawal. So, it was corrected.
Should I complain that I they didn't tell me that they'd got the original wrong, and then changed the next day without my consent? As it's essentially them going into my account and making transactions that they haven't told me about.
This isn't the first time it's happened. About 6 months ago, £10 was deposited to my account and four days later they withdrew it, so a cashier had clearly deposited £10 to my account by mistake and then they took it out. The cashier is effectively going into my account without telling me.0 -

I find that a bit worrying tbh! If you're having to make corrections or the like all day then people aren't doing their job right.0 -
The odd thing is that you don't complain at all about the incorrect recording as a deposit. I hope you have realised by now that it's better for your own image and credibility to quickly drop any further thought of a complaint.
"Should I complain that I they didn't tell me that they'd got the original wrong" - You mean this, that you just block quoted?
If you don't understand that I was talking about this from start to end, beginning with the wrong transaction (the incorrect recording as a deposit instead of a withdrawal) that lead to two corrections on my account, then that's on you. It's as clear as day I was referring to that as well.
If you feel like that, you don't need to keep coming back and replying off topic being personal. I posted here for some opinions about if it's right or wrong and I got them. I thanked people for their responses and answered any other questions that were asked. Maybe it's better for your own image to not come across as slightly harassing and drop it instead of trying to dissect something in order to make a point which wasn't there in the first place. It doesn't look credible of you to answer people asking questions in this way.0 -

It'd be best if you ditched your hang-up about bank staff looking at customers' accounts. They do that all the time. It's a part of their job. If you don't want anyone to look at your finances, don't use a bank or a building society.0 -

Meer53 didn't mention having to make any corrections. The point was that customer's accounts are accessed all the time for legitimate reasons, and they aren't notified.0 -
Where did meer53 say they are having to make corrections or the like all day? What are 'the like'? What do you know about the jobs of bank employees, and where do you take your knowledge from?

I knew you'd pick me up on that. I said 'corrections' on purpose to see if you would and you did, thanks for proving me right!
Forgive me but as I just said, it's you who keeps replying to me on a thread I began. That's the point of a forum and thread. It's called responding to people to comment. Unless you'd rather I start a thread and let people respond and I never reply back... Unless you're going to be constructive and polite I really don't see the point in just harassing me. But no doubt you'll respond to this too.0 -
