<There are some other companies that don't seem to keep putting up their prices.>
Name them please .
Certainly I've had two or three reports of people being on low-ish rates with Plusnet for some time. Someone said they had been on a similar rate with Sky for a long time also. Someone mentioned Zen in this regard too. Someone also said this of TalkTalk - although they are outweighed by those having bad experiences.0 -
I recently moved over to bt, superfast broadband and all in the offer came to around £33 with 500 minutes talk time. My only bit of advice is check the email with your future bill advice. I checked mine and found they hadn't processed the discounts I signed up to. I have to say the chap at their call centre was very polite, apologetic and helpful and got it sorted quickly... But, rather interestingly my girlfriend had just signed up to a new deal with them and after my cautionary tale she went and checked her bill and found that they had done the same to her. So, I do love the benefits of being with bt, such the WiFi network that you can access on your mobile with the app and generally I am happy with the broadband service... Just watch out for their dodgy billing!
I had exactly the same thing but didn't actually read the email for the future billing in time... in my defense they do send a lot of them (texts too) must have had a dozen before the line even activated and it was buried at the bottom of a very long one... but yeah, totally my fault I didn't spot it earlier.
Everyone should read throughly all your correspondence with these people don't assume everything will just go through as planned/ordered and get it sorted before the activation switchover as you've got very limited options afterwards. (I got a rebate they agreed to this month applied to my bill but next months bill looks like... the same high price I'm not supposed to be paying... wonder if I'll have to spend another hour on the phone to their billing dept next month as well...)Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0
