Anglea i totally hear where u are coming from. Usually have my Duncle travel over for Easter. Really close to him. He is a choc addict but dont know when he will get his eggs. We've stashed them safe. I think if the weather cools we will send them. Sent some eggs post Easter years ago and due to a warm weather spell they didnt arrive in the best state!!
Ended up having to go shopping yesterday as i had spilt milk everwhere.
Wasnt very happy. Always go early as much easier.
Picked up more reduced cat food trays for local charity. Noticed they had compacted the last of the Easter things and mums day things. Picked up another reduced mums day item for charity. When i was going thru the checkout i noticed it had been reduced even more. Down to a £1 from £6. I know the staff by face, never remember names!! Asked would they mind if i went to get 3 more for charity. They didnt care, it was getting rid of old stock. Items all packaged up this morning ready to go to the organizer. So from a bad thing came a good......and more milk. Supermarkets seem well stocked now but couldnt tell u about flour!
People have been so kind in helping with things, carrying my heavy shopping out or all my prescription things out. Really have seen the best of human natureDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Have I looked in a corner shop for items? No, because I am really trying to limit how many shops I visit. I can clean the toilet other ways!
I am trying to stick to just Aldi & maybe the local Co-op which is next door where they sometimes have good bargains. I went to one of the cheapie shops and the very thing that I wanted hadn't been delivered! New adage: live without or adapt.
Otherwise I am doing my daily e-mails to friends- given myself a new job title- 'sanity Saver'!! So every day if I haven't got something funny to send on then I try to write a few positive words as I know a few friends /acquaintances are struggling.
The house is no tidier except a few kitchen cupboards. I am trying hard to drink up all the fruit tea bags (loads) before I ask my dog runner to get me some liquorice ones from MR M!
Parts of the garden look better. I had quite a find the other day: a whole 'nest' of 20? snails roosting on a plant trough. Gone. Maybe my hostas will be allowed to thrive this year? and no, there are no thrushes round here which would have feasted on them.
I am at day 20 or so of German and really enjoying it
Other than that- cuddle a dog or two!
Take care, stay safe, stay positive
K

Katiehound i'm the same, always try to limit the amount of shops i visit and always do it during a quiet time. One thing i have noticed is we meal plan better and make every bit count.
Hope everyone is keeping okay.
Ive thrown myself into a load of paperwork that i kept putting off, but now is an ideal time, plus some extended learning.
More items sent to charity auction organiser and while usually i am always late with birthday presents, i have a few to send next month which i will be on time with as i want to pop a note in checking that friends are okay (my mojo for Christmas has gone South, still feel like we havent had a proper Easter)
2 shoeboxes completed. Last night decided to get the link to hope items box out from under the bed to work on the third. Find they have a calming influence before bed and it meant i had to give under the bed a good clean and tidy which i did. It was very satisfying as had a sort out aswell. Ive never been so efficient.
Cat is on/off poorly, still having flare ups. Have meds for her and she is being totally spolit.
Hope everyone is staying safe snd keeping positive

Just ordered an A5 address book from Ebay. The existing one is now 20 years old and I'm fed up with pages dropping out! The covers have more selotape than the roll itself! So when the book arrives I can transfer all the addresses that still exist- that will be a clearing out process in itself.
Grey day here, off to sort a 'heap' upstairs- they seem to just grow, everywhere! Then a load of paper to file. What an exciting day!!

I planned to do 6 link boxes, but have decided to just do 4 now. I have 4 boxes which I’m confident I can fill well, but 6 boxes would be more of struggle, due to the lockdown. I did manage to buy 4 umbrellas from Poundland today. It was DS birthday last week and I think he had a nice time despite us being on lockdown. Luckily, I had bought a few presents for him before the lockdown and I ordered the rest online. We decorated the dining room table and put up banners and balloons also that it felt like a proper celebration. We told this that we would have a party for him and his friends when we can.3

It sounds like ur DS had a lovely birthday Chanie and its great that he has his party with his friends to look forward to. I do feel for all those that are having birthdays in these surreal times. All DD friends are turning 21 and can't celebrate with friends and when the lockdown relaxes i still can't see DD going out for a meet up as she is so nervous about the situation.
Ive worked on the 2 shoeboxes i was left with last year and just have enough for the third and then im stuck. It would mean a journey to The Range in the next town for basically non essential items which i refuse to do. Me and DD have decided to do this as a treat but only when the lockdown really eases. I can't see me hitting 8 this year.
The bags of education are nearly finished but they require a non essential trip so they will have to wait aswell.Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It’s a shame about your DD friends not being able to celebrate their birthdays.3

I still feel like we haven't had a proper Easter or mother's day. It's really depressing. I actually put a 2020 diary in the recycling last week thinking I'm not going to need this, this yearDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I think a lot of people are reaching fatigue levels now. A few friends on my Whattsapp group were saying the same this evening. I don’t really have any advice as such, but I’m focussing on what I can do during lockdown as opposed to what I have missed. For example, I have read about 5 books so far, which I wouldn’t have done otherwise.

Hoping everyone keeping okay and staying safe.
The more i get paperwork completed, more just comes flying at me so haven't had chance to do my extended learning yet.
Doing more with a charity auction than originally planned. Organiser had come up with some really great ideas to keep fundraising so its another trip to the post to send items. The items ive got left for the charity are more Christmas themed that will be sent Sept.
Belated mothers day present of 2 jigsaws went to my mums today. She didn't even realise mother's day had been!!
Also been listening to some Christmas tunes as i managed to get a present i had been after for Duncle for awhile so that has got me back in the mood. DD says it looks like a Christmas grotto in the spare room but that includes birthday stuff aswell of which a few pieces will go next month-just need to wrap more presents.
Time is speeding along. I hope everyone is staying safe
