Parking charge from PremierPark Ltd

  • Hi Ralph-y,

This was my response to them yesterday morning:

    "Hello xxxxxx,

I am disappointed to read that you do not assist your paying customers when they have been "charged" by Premier Park at your Milton Keynes site. I expected you might be concerned with how your "parking management" company is treating your customers and assist those that are wrongly fined. This is something I feel obliged to comment on in my review about your Milton Keynes site.

Are you not, as the landowners, responsible for setting up an agreement with Premier Park ltd, that they might be able to operate on your grounds? If not, I request the details of who the landowner is, that I might follow this up with them."

Any other ideas on getting their response?
  • Thanks Le_Kirk, I've sent them an e-mail requesting the landowner's information. Let's see what they come up with!

Wasn't sure whether best to jump in on this thread or start a new one. My case is pretty relatable with these. Just had my initial appeal turned down, so now at the pay or POPLA stage.

If its best I start a new thread, let me know.

Yes it is. It gets confusing for everyone if we try to answers two posters on same thread - even if cases similar.
  • Just to keep this post active:

First appeal has been sent to Premier Park Ltd as of today.

Currently the presumed landowners are not responding, nor my local MP. So not the best standing so far.... thinking I'm going to miss that £100! :(
  • Update:

So, I have no leads on the landowners and my local MP has indicated that they will not get involved in supporting my case. My first Blue Template appeal (as found on the NEWBIES) thread was rejected by PremierPark, stating PoFA as their defence.

They've not given me a POPLA code and have only reiterated that they require the charge to be paid. Before I go any further (current deadline to submit a response is February 13th) I wanted to get some advice on the best way to respond to this first rejection, to give me the best chance of acquiring the POPLA code necessary to submit my full appeal.

If anyone can provide me with their advice, or an account of their experience in obtaining the POPLA code from first rejection by the parking company, it would be hugely appreciated!

I'm feeling confident that this case can win, I just want to take care at each stage... being a newbie and all!

Have they actually rejected your appeal or just asked you for the driver's details?

If you really have an appeal rejection letter without a PoPLA code then you need to complain forcefully to their trade body - The British Parking Association Ltd.
  • They've only asked for the driver's details; stating that if this information cannot be provided, the keeper will remain liable for the charge.

Apologies, my wording in the last message was inaccurate!

I know they're giving me a very ambiguous/ignorant reply so as to not give me any help, so it feels a bit like a rejection letter hence, I want to go back to them and request a POPLA code.

Just unsure on the best way to go about this.

    Thanks for pointing that out!

Why do you need to go back to them? Until they reject your appeal you dont need to tal kto them. If they dont reject your appeal then you complain to the BPA, but obviously dont leave it too long in case they state they sent a rejectio nout and you just didnt see it.

I suppose I don't - all part of not being entirely knowledgeable on the appeals process. No rejection letters/e-mail messages have been received as yet.

Having done a bit of research I can see that - since they've not rejected the appeal, nor provided me with a POPLA code - the ball is in their court to move this forward. Which means either accepting my appeal (unlikely) or rejecting my appeal; to include a POPLA code.
(On a side note - interestingly enough, PremierPark do no utilise Debt Collectors to chase outstanding PCNs.)

Thanks for pointing this out Nosferatu, I'll just leave it to them for now. Further updates will follow as and when they respond with one of the above letters/e-mail messages.
