In the past we have done various things, absorbed it into the budget, days out, used (with other free money) as the present budget, added to holiday savings.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Some of it is going on home ed expenses - there are 3 website subscriptions for maths/english that need renewing for Small Small. Very strange only having to do one lot of renewals this year rather than three lol, but I guess we are paying in other ways for the older two now (bus fares and D of E).
Think that will take about £100, so not sure what we will do with the rest, but the options are overpaying, using it to bump up the emergency funds which are still not back to their previous level, put it towards other household stuff like changing the living room up a bit so that I can actually have a desk to work at instead of slouching sitting on the sofa, or potentially we could use it to buy wood to clad the chicken coop.
TL;DR: dunno yetRule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.

I am trying to wrap my head around using X3ro for my business finances instead of a spreadsheet, in light of the fact that from 2024 I will have to use it for HMRC/self assessments etc.
The filter won't allow me to say what I think about this, but suffice it to say, I am deeply unimpressed and stressed out.
CC tickover is today, and I'm going to keep that until I feel like I need to relax.Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.

New bill paying period! Except not quite yet because bank holiday. But soonTM.
Himself got about £180 extra this month as he was finally paid for some overtime he did in the new year (!!!). This month was also a high pay (and mileage) month for me as I had many business things happen in April. And I've made another shift in my business - I paid £70 this month towards my business usage of the house, and will be doing so every month from now on.
The council tax rebate has landed. I put half of it in our holiday pot and left half in our joint account towards our emergency funds.
All of that means our emergency funds are now FULLY REPLENISHED!!!it's only taken six months.
CC cashback is being split between home ed expenses and our house pot, which is £110.76 for each.Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.

Well I had a lovely weekend away last weekend.... and then yesterday we found one of our rabbits collapsed and had to rush to the vets for them to be humanely euthanised.Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.
