Pizza Express Used Napkin In Salad
Comments

The Deliveroo driver was fine with me, very friendly as usual. I always tip them. I asked Pizza Express on the phone not to put salad dressing in the salad. Yes it was their mistake, I phoned the restaurant again once I received the salad and they said they didn't speak to me about dressing, and told me to phone Deliveroo to replace the salad then to call them back. I called Deliveroo to ask for a replacement, then Deliveroo told me to call back Pizza Express with the new order number. When I called Pizza Express again the girl sounded really fed up.0

Any other pertinent information you have omitted? Have you spoken to Pizza Express about the napkin and what was their response?0

Accidents happen.
People sometimes don't engage their brains when carrying out tasks.
It may be deliberate or it may not, you really don't know.
If you want to complain to Pizza Expees then do so using their formal complaints procedure. Going to the national press is a huge overreaction.
What redress are you looking for? Apology? Something else? You need to be clear when complaining what action you would like them to take.
It hasn't made you ill and you don't want to eat there again so an apology would seem reasonable. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Edited to clarify: It was a Deliveroo delivery order and it was in a box. I had some the day I received it, Thursday 9th, and continued to eat it today and discovered this.
I can see a problem in that today is the 11th, you have had the good in your possession for 2 days, did you only complain to them today?0 -
I haven't complained to them yet as I don't know how to handle this. I'm shocked.0

Complaining 2 days late is unlikely to get the response you want, which is...?
Chalk it up to experience, don't order from them again, move on.How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -

They will be open now. Call them and explain, without unnecessary hyperbole, what has happened.0 -
I've complained to them before (glass on a child's plate, really sloppy service) and they were very good. We were asked to go back for a free meal so they could rectify things, which we did, and it was 100% better. Unfortunately the next time we went there was an eyelash on my plate and we haven't returned to that branch since. Other branches have been fine, so it may just be an issue with your local branch. You can make a complaint to them directly here; https://www.pizzaexpress.com/help-and-contact/how-do-i-make-a-complaint0

It's a good thing your child didn't swallow that glass, that could have been very serious, he could have ended up in hospital for that.0

I've complained to them through that link already just now, but thank you very much.0
