  • Many thanks for your support and guidance.
I have now received the 'Notice of proposed allocation to the small claims track' and a 'Directions Questionnaire'. Can i also send this via the email i used to send my defence or post it as first class signed for?
Their solicitor has elected to mediate, can i agree to this if it will lead to a reduction in what we're being asked to pay because i have to be honest, its a difficult time for me to have this additional stress to deal with.

yes email it same as the defence , to the CCBC

you are wasting your time with mediation . you want to pay zero, the claimant wants the full amount , ergo no settlement
everyone gets that offer of mediation, because if it was a different topic like a building dispute or rent then there may be common ground and a settlement figure where both sides make a compromise
  • @Redx thank you, i was hoping they may agree to compromise to the original amount on the PCN

  • Can i choose a court closer to my work rather than my home? The nearest one to me for money claim is in Central London which is not that very near but the closest one to my work is in Bromley. And do i have to give a reason?

The question on your N180 form is:
At which County Court hearing centre would you prefer the small claims hearing to take place and why?

Hi everyone, hope you’re all keeping safe and well. Just an update on this.....
I contacted cbbc today since it’s almost a couple of months I last heard anything on this matter and they advised the claim was sent to my chosen court last Monday, so just waiting for the dates to come in now. Any advice or guidance relating to preparing for what’s to come will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi everyone, i was wondering if you could kindly review my WS please; telephone hearing is in 2 weeks and it couldn't have come at a bad time because myself and the other half are poorly with CV-19. Can i post it here or is there a secure way of showing it to you please?
Also, if i include extracts from my medical notes in the WS exhibits, do you know if will this be made available on the public domain?
    Really appreciate the support

Post as much as you can on here , but redact personal and private info first , mainly because anyone can see it

Bear in mind the telephone hearings thread by coupon mad , because it's likely that they will use a telephone or video link for the hearing in 2 weeks time

What is the date of your hearing and what is the date by which you must supply the WS, evidence and summary costs assessment?  Maybe the order just states 14 days before hearing but "in two weeks" is not very accurate and you might already have missed the deadline.  Please do check it.
