Tandem Cashback ending 9th March

I have a Tandem cashback card and yesterday applied for a Journey card as I don't intend to keep the cashback card after 9 March

I got a 'holding' message saying they would email me when my application could proceed.

Yeah, I'm ditching this one too. It's a shame, I rather liked my Tandem card.


I've still got my Nationwide one to fall back on, which is decent enough for abroad, so I'm going to hold off opening a new one as the options really don't seem that exciting.



If nothing interesting comes along soon I'll probably head for the Halifax Clarity - anyone know if it sends instant notifications? That's a thing I'll definitely miss by going back to Nationwide.

no Halifax does not send instant notifications like Tandem but you can login to app and can see the transaction, it should be quick if you have a fingerprint enabled smartphone. I havent checked if transaction shows instant or not but I think it should be.

I regarded instant notifications as a complete gimmick when I first got them, but I've really come to like them - forces me to lay attention to what I'm spending

Finding this site incredibly difficult and clunky to use.
Finally managed to log in but now cannot see any way of creating a new post..... not sure I'll get any help but just wanted to vent my frustration....

I havent seen high street banks' credit cards give instant notifications whereas app based provides instant notification even in the case of current accounts if you withdraw cash like Starling.

It’s been a really bad way to reward those who were in from the start. But I guess they want to start to make profits. It’ll be interesting to see if they’re still selling in a years time,..

I have just jumped ship from tandem not paying a monthly fee for a card.
Signed up to Amex cashback card came the next working day ,great app and instant notifications too,well pleased one door closes another opens happy days
