Don't worry, 99.9% of people in your inexperienced position, at your age, would have done exactly the same.
That is what Glide rely upon, and whilst accepting they are entitled to exploit the situation for a profit some of the reported condescending dialogue with naïve first timers do them no favours, given their jaunty advertising blurb.
You are well ahead of the curve now, when you swap again it will probably take 10 minutes.
Plenty of people still throw their money away, bearing in mind 54 per cent of energy customers are still on costly default tariffs and 61 per cent say they have never switched supplier, or have only switched once, according to Ofgem’s 2018 consumer survey.

Is there no way to put the energy accounts in all five tenants' names? I know they could still default but it might make them think twice. Just a suggestion.0
