Lighten up Neil, you did also say self ticketing ? and that dictates a PPC unless you are an ATA member with full rights to issue tickets
then it would not be self ticketing but a nominated person who would be the warden.

Nothing rude or insulting about a Norris, probably seen in every street in the UK

This is the action of a Norris

I am fine - and chilled, thanks. I just, genuinely, don't like these sweeping statements/insults like that. I would be interested to know just who comes under the heading - that's all

Oh and I agree with you about Norris's - not sure twhitehousescat does though!

Nobody has or will insult you Neil, it's a joke, an expression
I doubt Michael Caine thinks he is a nosey neighbour

PPC 's are cowboys and scammers and self ticketers are classed as nosey neighbours hence Norris

And here is Norris in action

I own two flats in what has become a somewhat down market block of in Reading where a two bedroom flat will rent our at about £1,000 per calendar month, which seems to be acceptable for Housing Benefit. Thus, some of the occupants are, how does one say this, not top drawer.

Sofas etc are discarded, the cost of removal of which falls to landlords, waste food and soiled nappies are thrown over balconies, substances are smoked, and as for parking, you name it, the riff raff do it.

So far I have managed to persuade the new manging agents, (who I suspect are in league with the Directors), not to appoint CPM to manage the car park,

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5927955/my-management-company-wants-to-bring-in-cpm

but as the tone of the block goes down, the more I am inclined to let them do their worst.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • Are these changes effective for ongoing cases from 2019 already rejected by popla ?

The BPA code starts this Jan and not applicable to previous issues.
But Hey, it's only the BPA, it is a mish mash as usual with the BPA
and the PPC's will as usual take the usual p*ss

    THE REAL CODE OF PRACTICE
Believe it or not the new government code was made law and obtained royal assent last year.

But the inept civil service failed to actually write the code ... we don't have a clue when the code will come out.

Until government wake up, POFA2012 is still the law

As far as I know, we, the motoring public who will be most affected, don't know how or when we will get to have our say … or have I missed it already? :(

    Not really but sort of!

Changes in the CoP can be VERY USEFUL in court cases, in that, if a PPC is pursuing a case for a single digit VRN error, for example, they are acting against the current BPA CoP by continuing with it.

Victims should complain to the BPA as the first step, pointing out that the AOS member has failed to cancel a case that goes against the new BPA CoP, which while the dates may not quite match, goes against the spirit of being an AOS member if they are allowed to continue with cases they KNOW are in breach of current 'professional standards'.

And the same sort of argument can be made in a defence!

Nothing to do with this thread topic, and in fact G24 are not BPA AOS members, so this Code of Practice is irrelevant to them.  Please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, first post, then start a new thread if you need further help beyond that.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
