    TIDAL MUSIC OFFER
Has anyone done this?      700Sb for a months free trial seems like a no brainer.    I know it doesnt credit for a month but still...
    seems worth it
I've just done this, signed up for a free trial and plan to cancel before I get charged. It does say in the small print though that you need to remain signed up for the first month, bit vague what first month means.
Also, it's appeared in my shop activity rather than pending in my usual activity section. Because of my member recognition, I have the option to 'skip the wait' and get the 700sb now rather than waiting another 31 days. Anyone know what happens if I do this but then don't qualify for the offer because I cancelled the account?
Can I suggest you try and then let me know so I can do it if it works?!
  • Not cancelling in the first month very likely means not cancelling during the first free month, so that it rolls over and you pay for the second (first paying) month.

Are any of the games work downloading and playing to get SB or is it quicker to just do the surveys?
  • I have had some really good results from games, but it is very hit and miss. I've played some for days (weeks, even) and got nothing. Others I have played with a double points bonus on Discover and got as much as 2500 SB. I play games anyway, so I work on the principle of giving them a try and if I get SB, its a bonus and I might find a game I enjoy in the process.

If they don’t pay then open a ticket and they will. I’ve done all the Spins and war type ones on iPhone and Android and always got my SB even if I’ve had to open a ticket.

I see that another (or perhaps only now obvious) way MSE is making money is by using Skimlinks.   I assume others get the message, "We invest time and money to bring you this content. It can only exist if we are able to earn money back after you’ve read this content. Skimlinks and its data partners use cookies to collect and use data (cookie identifiers, device identifiers, information about your interests, IP) for Information storage and access, Personalisation, Ad selection, delivery, reporting, Google, Linking Devices and Measurement. By clicking «continue to site», you indicate your consent for these cookies. You can withdraw your consent or read about your data rights and our legitimate interest on data usage here.
Skimlinks Privacy Policy." when they try clicking on the links to potential search terms in, say, the first post of this thread.

ETA:  I have clicked on the ~"data partners" link and don't see MSE listed so perhaps not MSE.  Wonder how it works.

Thanks for asking General_Grant, found this article:
    https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/skimlin
MSE do sometimes use them, as do Mumsnet, AVForums, TechRadar and Telegraph.co.uk.
If I'm reading correctly they monetize affiliated links.
EDIT: It seems skimlinks can make clicked links pay money to the site clicked from if they can connect up to an affiliation arrangement for 25% of the cut. They turn non-affiliated links into affiliated links.
