I went into Lidl for carrots this evening....and left with carrots and a set of orange-stickered watercolour paints for £3.49. Too good a price to resist, and I was a talented painter as a child. Not quite up there with Picasso, but not bad either :o

I somehow managed a whole day without any impulse buys yesterday! I never considered myself to be an impulse buyer until I logged my behaviour this week :o

Had an impulse buy yesterday - but it was an ideal birthday present, and at just £2.99 a Disney bargain.

I've got an ongoing S/H coffee stuff habit. Have bought six espresso/cappu cups+saucers and another vintage Cona coffee brewer in the past week or so. I'm in debt and supposed to be decluttering so it's a bit of a problem. At least they should sell on for at least what they cost, so hopefully it'll be possible to recover the dosh one day.

I have decided to maybe go out and buy a years worth of household stuff, things like toilet room, cleaning products, toothbrushes etc etc to curb impulse buys........ in theory...:D.

This way i will only really need to buy food for the year other than things for birthdays etc.

It did work when I did this in preparation for 6 months part time, so will start with 6 months maybe instead of a years stuff.

    One can only try. :rotfl:
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

Impulse buy fail...you'll always use these up, eventually. I find it helpful to buy in bulk when I have a minimum value spend voucher and need to make the total up.

I went a bit crazy with my impulse purchases today - but they were all brilliant January chazzer finds. Another £12.70 spent on 12 purchases.

Purchased 4 sausage rolls on a whim from M&S today. Utterly disappointing.

Bought a mug today. Do I need another mug? Of course not, even if I did there is a wide and wonderful selection in every charity shop! But no I went into a posh supermarket, big mistake in itself and a saw a lovely sky blue mug with a terrier on it. Just couldn't resist. Total impulse buy.
    Slightly bitter
  • So much for my claim that I no longer do impulse buys, lol! Went to a local department store for some paint samples the other day and was tempted by a gorgeous Walter Crane design water bottle (£20). Suffice to say, I was unable to resist its charms :o
