1505nGrandad Oh no! I've submitted it now! I must have missed that suggestion. I'm not sure what is wrong with paragraph c. though as it is just a statement saying where the car was parked.0

Hi All, well I'm back again. Having submitted my defence in January, I was hoping that would be the last of it, but no! Last night I came from work to find a Directions Questionnaire. What do I do now? Do I offer mediation? Or do I go to Court and risk losing and having to pay even more than the £268 they are claiming with interest and court fees added? Typical of my luck, they seem to be pushing this for me anyway :0(0

Why do you think it woul dbe the last of it?
Have you not read, in detail, te newbies thread? The second post takes you through the ENTIRE process? Do so NOW. Dont skim it. READ the damned thing - thats what it is there for!
Not "typical of your luck" stop with the self pity there - this is utterly and totally NORMAL. They will push *right* up unitl court in some cases.0 -

I had read the newbies thread, I had also been told that quite often CEL get to DQ and don't take matters any further? Why be so aggressive. I merely asked a question?nosferatu1001 said:Why do you think it woul dbe the last of it?

Nope, CEL usually get to the week before then discontinue. They check youve filed a WS and then DC if they think theyre gonna have no chance. They used to never attend hearings, theyve more recently been to a few
You're asking questions the newbies thread tels you the answer to. Its a waste of time to keep answering, and is a great way to annoy the regulars as we answer the same damned things day after day. ANY question on process - truly ANY - is covered there.
Its also because you seem to think you're being unlucky in some way, when this is all perfectly normal0 -
Thank you. However, as I work and don't frequent these boards as regularly as yourself, I'm not entirely sure of the etiquette. I have looked through the Newbie threads but sometimes this can take ages to trawl through and doesn't always answer the question you particularly want to ask.nosferatu1001 said:Nope, CEL usually get to the week before then discontinue. Well I was actually feeling I was unlucky given that when I googled CEL I found that they issue thousands of pre-action protocol letters each year but last year only went to court on about 40-50 occasions and then read on the forum they quite often drop at DQ/don't appear in Court. So forgive my ignorance.

I work as well....
the newbies thread is there, for you and others. It answers every possible question.
Your impatience (or failure to read your own thread) doesnt mean you should ask the same question already answered.
Yep, ignorance. Hence, the newbies thread.1 -
TBH, I haven't look back through this post. It seems so long ago now. I will have a look. Thanks Keith.KeithP said:

I'm talking about my post in your very own thread here.

Not yet. You only need to read the links under the red heading 'IMPORTANT - KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN' in the second post of the NEWBIES thread, which includes a link to bargepole telling you about DQ stage and another link to a respected 'Archived User', telling you which boxes to tick...it is really easy.
Out of interest, does the letter allocate the case to your nearest local court already and tell you to send the DQ to that court, and not to the CCBC? I saw one today that looks like the CCBC are doing this now, whereas you used to have to return your DQ to the CCBC.
So, where does your letter say to return it please, as we'll have to adapt our advice if it;s now always to the nearest local court.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
