Laser skin treatment refund

I'm sorry that you felt desperate enough to put yourself in the hands of an unregulated business , without consulting a doctor or any associations.:(
You don't even seem to have considerered that pico lazer could be a quack treatment, and that everything you were told had no medical substance.
Buyer beware.
I had a partner once who had acne scarring so I have some idea of the psychological effects.0 -
Sure that is obvious with hindsight, but wasn't at the time. They could have been kind and suggested I think it over before I pay, but I guess I'm a bad judge of character.
And you could have acted like an adult and told them that you wanted to go away and think about it! Take some responsibility for making a decision which you now regret instead of trying to place it wholly on the business for being "unethical" and not being "kind". How much is a single treatment as you will undoubtedly owe them at least this much for cancelling with such short notice.0 -

Let's be clear here, I'm not blaming the business. People make mistakes, so I hope they can understand that. I hope they can also see I've been considerate and not put their name on here, in case they find this thread. The square pock marks from the laser will unlikely go away in my lifetime. I took the risk and they didn't mention this at the time.
I have already cancelled my appointment with them this Wednesday without cost. I think I'd settle for something closer to £100 as I don't think I have inconvenienced them to £500.0 -
I don't believe your contract didn't make you aware of the risks.0

If you've cancelled "without cost" then they will have refunded you the £1,000 you paid them last week! How much is a single treatment? Not your £1,000 divided by the number of treatments, as this was undoubtedly a discounted package price, but the price they charge for a single session.0 -

They charge additional, if one cancels within their cancellation time period, hence it was without cost, but I guess it would have been more correct to say without additional cost. The price of £500 is a rounded-up cost if I had paid singly.0 -

I think we can run around the rules all day, but I'm not challenging this: I am negotiating a settlement so that both sides can walk away without feeling the other has been unfairly treated.
If people were so strict about the rules, they wouldn't have paid out for 9/11, but they did. Closer to home, if you read the small print in your insurance, you'll realise that the insurer doesn't have to pay you out for anything, as the scenarios mentioned cover everything that people can claim for. They could simply put it into one line that it's at their discretion, which is closer to the truth.
I like to think people are more reasonable. If I was a seller and a customer wanted a refund, I would give them a refund, and I have done so. I treat people how I want to be treated. People make mistakes and change their minds. It's like getting married, but unfortunately having to divorce. There is a price to pay, but at least you can both walk away and not feel you've been too unfairly treated.0 -
The business has offered me a full refund, but being considerate I told them they can just refund me £900 because of the inconvenience I have caused them.
Thanks for all the comments on here! You have kept me honest and helped me learn a few things!0 -
