  • I have an appointment with my psychiatrist on Wednesday at 12pm. It was made today by my community nurse. I'm with the LD team and they are very proactive so they might increase my meds. It has been noted that my moods are up and down more thank usual, probably from all the ranting emails I sent them because I think they don't listen.

It's an !!!. There is no money for mental health so unless you go 60% yourself of have support you will be in for a bad time.

    I wish you well.

On your OP. You know India is the muslim bit right? Might as well try to be a Buddihist in Tibet (China stopped that). Still do realise like every religion there are extremist buddihists that kill. They are all alike at the fringes though! More important is random obsessions on things that will "cure all your problems" and just nonsense. They do not you move onto something else. So if you must do them make it something that is easy to get out of!

Hopefully some of that made sense to you. My issue is talking crap that I look at later and think !!!!!! (also bad typing in a dyslexic way). Still thats not much of a problem as some things. If you want more thoughts and !!!! do PM me. I aint subscribed to the thread.

Futher advise? Youtube is that way -> and listen to George Harrison videos. He was the best.

If you're going by majority religion then India is the Hindu "bit", around 80% of India is Hindu...

Not remotely true. India is a majority Hindu state, as another poster has said. It also has Muslims, Christians and a massive number of Buddhists. And many many more faiths as well. Buddhism is the majority faith in Tibet and the Chinese may have tried to overcome it in the 1950s, but they certainly didn't remotely succeed! Of course, you might have a philosophical debate about the type of Buddhism, as, like many faiths, there are different iterations. Tibetan Buddhism, though, thanks to the exile of the Dalai Lama, has a massive diaspora and is commonly practiced in many countries including the UK.

Not quite ready for that degree in theology yet?
  • On Monday I got a email of my supported living manager saying I have an appointment with my psychiatrist on Wednesday (today) for 12pm. I thought it was discuss my community treatment order tribunal which is on the 20 Jan. Its unusual getting an appointment like this.

I go to the appointment and he asks the usual questions, he didn’t mention about the CTO much

He then asks me if I want a prescription for 2mg Haloperidol for 2 weeks supply… I told him I haven’t got anything wrong with me and he says it’s to take the edge of things.

I don’t understand why he wants me to take Haloperidol. I’ve been fine. I did mention that I might run away to Sri Lanka for 6 months with the £5000 loan I’ve been pre-approved for. I did mention slightly about the secret folders and I don’t think it helped when I completely lost it at a house mate accusing him off stealing my bank card but that was just paranoid from lack of sleep. I think my staff reported me.

Now I think that he really hasn’t much chance of having my CTO renewed so this is his plan to gaslight me, oh I told him this and he pretended he didn’t know what gaslighting means, I told hime I didn’t believe him as everybody knows what gaslighting means, especially a 30-something psychiatrist. He is gaslighting me and wants me on a CTO again. I’ve been on that stupid CTO since 2013 being injected against my will. I caught him out.

You took a PRN because you decided it would help to calm things down a bit for you. I guess the haloperidol is a similar sort of thing - giving you a bit extra to see if it helps or not, then reviewing again at the end of the two weeks?
Running away to Sri Lanka or Nepal doesn't make you sound fine, to the casual observer on here. Your staff will have been asked about how things are with you, from their perception (which you may or may not agree with) as they have a duty of care towards you so it's possible that your care co-ordinator or CPN will have contacted them before your appointment. Look back at your post on 6th - that's the reason for the appointment rather than discussion of the CTO.
You mentioned on an earlier post that you didn't feel your staff were listening to you. Do you have advocacy support at all and do you think that would be of benefit to you - not everyone finds it helpful but some people do.

We don't know you and this is a public forum so we can't and shouldn't comment on your mental health but I do think you need to be careful how much you post when things aren't necessarily quite right, and which you may regret at another time. You may be getting close to the point where posts are deleted if people are concerned about your vulnerability at a particular point in time.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Nice to meet you, I came across this thread a few days ago and wondered to myself earlier how your appointment went.

Do you think it might be worth trialing haloperidol for the next 2 weeks just to see if it has an impact for you?

Everyone deserves to have a chance to realise their hopes and dreams and there’s no reason why that can’t happen for you when you are in a more stable position. At the moment from reading things now is not quiet that time.

Elsien has suggest an advocate to help with you not feeling listened too by others involved in your care and wellbeing, I think this is an excellent idea and should be looked into.

Please take care of yourself, you are in a vulnerable position at the moment but things can and will improve with the right and necessary help.
