Frankly unless the OP is *very* lucky and got the form a date or two after it was issued they may already be out of time and a defautl judgement could be on its way
OP - you need to buckle down and get onto this TODAY.
FIle that damned acknowledgement.2 -
A nosferatu1001 says, you must file an Acknowledgment of Service today. To file an AoS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service.
Unfortunately, as you haven't told us the Claim Issue Date, nobody can tell you what that deadline is.2 -
Thanks all. I will sort out the acknowledgement. I understand your frustration in not giving you all the exact issue date, but I've been round in circles on this thread before because I've provided too much info, so forgive me for being unsure. The issue date is 29 May. You'd appreciate that fact if you scrolled through the thread, as many of you have done to criticize my inaction. The deadline for responding is therefore Wednesday by my reckoning. I will look at sorting it now, as recommended above.
Look, I'm here for help. That much is obvious or else I wouldn't be wasting anyone's time. I appreciate there are specific timescales involved, but there are a million things going on in any individuals' life at any given time. Yours and mine. Please don't belittle my efforts. I'm clearly a complete novice in this respect, but I'm not a moron. I desperately want and need your help, and that of the whole forum, and I appreciate you no doubt come across so many folk naive to this, but please don't scorn for scorning's sake.
I will look at the AoS now and come back to you...0 -
            Its more
- you were told to expect a court claim form, and that the newbies thread tells you what to do when one arrives
- this lets you prepare
- meaning you dont ask what to do months after being told what to do
- and two weeks later you still havent filed the ack, despite it being the first thing youre told to do in the newbies thread when you get a claim form (after 5 calendar days of issue)
- and instead you seek to complain that cant complain about something when clearly you can - you just chose not to do so .
Yes you are a complete novice. So are 99% of all who come here.
and lastly, "end of may 2020" could be anywhere from say 25th onwards. Nowhere did you state the 29th May.2 -
And no need to come back - file the AOS, then get your total of TWO para of the template defence done, then come back.2

You are right, with a Claim Issue Date of 29th May, you have until Wednesday 17th June to file an Acknowledgment of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.88engine said:The issue date is 29 May. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create and file a Defence, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.3 -
Can you guide me on some thoughts for the case specific facts? I can, of course, enter the facts as they are, but I am conscious that the newbies thread gives some previous examples to help boost your defence - and my specific scenario isn't really covered. The thread gives examples for:
- App using wrong VRN.
 - Authorised unloading - this is probably the closest to my situation, although I wasn't specifically given authorisation nor was I unloading.
 - No permit.
 - Residential parking.
 - Residential bay parking.
 - Specific ParkingEye cases.

Visiting a potential client building with lots of nearby and adjacent parking spaces. Think isolated building literally surrounded by parking bays on three sides. Pretty empty, too. I just drove in and picked one - not realising or noticing any signing.
The AoS is done by the way. Thanks to all for the prompting...0 -
Well if the drivers not identified pofa is an obvious defence
you've got a short small job to do. Please try it first. Put it in your words. A single para.2 -
Why are you not using the template defence, top of the forum? The other examples are for ParkingEye claims.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

@Coupon-mad that list of examples, from which to take inspiration for the facts of the case, are taken from the thread section that reads "Here are some cases won or in progress which should help you with ideas as to what to put in as 'case specific facts' at #16 or #17 of the template defence, if your case is not a ParkingEye one"
I am using the template, but wanted to point out that my case is not like any of those you've listed (not ParkingEye claims), as I still need to edit it with my facts... Appreciate they are my facts, too, of course, but my query is trying to understand what on earth I put in without making a mockery of it/myself...since the signs were in place and I just didn't know and didn't see them...0
