I opened a Monthly Savings account with Barclays early in June, in branch, and have since been in to change the address on it which seemed to go fine.
But I have not had anything through the post about it, I only have a printout with my name, the account name, sort code and number...
Is this normal, should I have had some sort of documentation through the post?Sealed Pot Challenge Number 1225

It seems normal. You get a printout of the information on the day and that seems to be that.
It is defaulted to Annual Statements, however if you speak to a person in branch it is dead simple for them to change it to monthly statement.
What I did was set up the first SO to be paid into the account and then go into Barclays. Asked them what day it was paid in and got them set my monthly statement date up 2 days after it. This means I get to check my SO goes in fine and see the money going into the account as I am not signed up for online since it is my only account at Barclays.0 -
i had the same, phoned them 2 days ago and they said i should have had something and she would get it in the post, still waiting, though she said the account was up and running fineOwner of a cute cottage in the North York Moors :j0

I had a sales call from Halifax today and was told that the new rate on their regular saver will be 5%. You can put from £25 to £500 per month in. The rep said he didn't think it would be tied to any of the other Halifax products (i.e. you don't have to have any other Halifax accounts in order to open the regular saver).

Thanks for the information, I have updated the relevant entry on the first page of this thread.
I have had a quick look at the Halifax International Regular Saver account page - it appears that the offshore version of this account is going to remain at 4% for the moment.

I guess the quickest way would be to ring them to ask the question.
I currently have the Gold Saver and would qualify for the Family Regular Saver. Does anyone know therefore if you can hold both concurrently?0
