It's 01:40am and the Ford Regular Saver is not officially launched, however the online application system is now working (I've just opened one).

So if you want to get ahead of the game:-

    Regular Saver:- https://secure.fordmoney.co.uk/applyonline/applicationform.aspx?productid=FORRSA

    Regular ISA:-
    https://secure.fordmoney.co.uk/applyonline/applicationform.aspx?productid=FORRSI
Sigh, they require proof of ID and address by post. So sick of banks doing this, I've opened enough bloody accounts for me to be "on the system"!

Is the Ford RS 4% fixed or variable, I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere?

It's fixed. From the Ford Regular Saver Product Summary Box:

"Can Ford Money change the interest rate?
    • No - your rate is fixed for 12 months.
You will receive the interest rate shown at the time you apply, or if we
increase our product rate before you make your initial deposit, you will
receive the benefit of the higher interest rate applicable as at the initial
    deposit date."

Has anyone managed to fund one of the non-ISA Ford RS accounts by a transfer from a Flexible Saver account please?

Or do they only accept SO payments in?

Like badger09 I'm not going to open mine on any of this newfangled technology so am waiting for my steam powered computer to wake up ;)

The accounts are showing as live now if you already have an account with them, one of the options for initial funding is from your flexible saver account or faster payment - the customer agreement that the T&C's link to state deposits can be made by BACS, CHAPS, Faster payment, or standing order.

Thank you. That makes my life nice and simple, just keep some money in the Flexible Saver earning a decent rate and then just transfer it over on the Regular Saver anniversary :)

I've just applied for a Regular Saver and a Regular Saver ISA. Was asked to provide proof of address and identity, which are on their way via a Freepost address. Very happy with this!

Did they issue a new Customer ID for this new application?

I do not want to have any issues with these Regular Savings accounts, as I already have a funded Flexible Saver.

Just logged in and both accounts are showing using the same customer ID I was given when I opened the flexible saver so no duplicated profiles and two log ins to remember.

Now I need to see the money in the flexible saver, and RS as they are at nil.

I funded them with my reference number and surname and I see from the email with my ID now says to use the account number....

I hope it will link up. I must remember to change the reference from application reference to account number on my next funding month.

Opened the ISA & regular saver.

But the £10 test payment that I sent to the flexible saver at the weekend hasn't yet appeared, so reluctant to throw any more money that way until I know it's getting there. Anyone else had the same? (think I shall give them a call later on).
