Snap ! Mine is in the post also. I have had an account with the Principality before and I would rate them as better than average.0 -
I've opened a Principality RS and just received the account book.
How do I deposit monthly, do I need to send another cheque each month, or can I do it by BACS, making the payment to their sort code and account number with a reference to my account number?0 -
You can pay by BACS using your a/c no. as ref. I normally send the monthly payments by Faster payments from my Tesco Internet account.0
-
you can set up a standing order aswell.0

Hi My Postman has been today and still no word from Abbey re Regular Savings Account (see threads 420 and 427). Looks like Principality was a good move.0

Hi, I contacted Abbey by phone recently, opened up an issue 8, (already have a 7), all done in 5 mins max. Confirmation received 4 working days after. Standing order set up from the 2nd January 2009.
No problem.0 -
Thanks for the advice, I didn't realise you could have 2 regular savers as long as they are different issues. I have an Abbey Issue 8 application ready but I think I will go for another Principality now.0

Hi Principality sent me an email today confirming what has already been stated by the kind people on this thread; you can have more than one Regular Saver so long as they are different issues.0

Hi Money Savers,
I hope you are all having a nice time.
Here is this weekend's update:
- Skipton BS Special Saver interest rate will be 4.45% from 1st January 2009 according to emoneyfacts (down 0.85%)
- Skipton BS Christmas Saver interest rate will be 4.45% from 1st January 2009 according to emoneyfacts (down 0.85%)
- Yorkshire BS Internet Saver (feeder section) interest rate will be 3.75% from 28th December 2008 according to emoneyfacts (down 0.75%)
- I have updated the entries on the Abbey and Principality BS regular savers with the information above that you can open one account per issue
- I have added a link in the Tesco Internet Saver entry (feeder section) to one of the threads that describe the long procedures that people on this forum are reporting in trying to open and use this account
Okay, I shall probably be able to do another update in the middle of next week. Until then...
