Unfortunately no financial institution is immune from clueless and misinformed CS people.

    The T&Cs clearly state:
    Regular Savings

In addition to the general conditions, the following conditions apply to Regular Savings. If there is a conflict between the general conditions and these Regular Savings conditions, the Regular Savings conditions will take priority.

This account is only available to those aged 11 or over.
The account can have a maximum of two joint account holders.
The minimum initial deposit and minimum balance is £1.
The maximum initial deposit in the account is £1,000.
The maximum balance in the account is £5 million.
You may only open one Regular Savings account which can be either in your own name or held jointly with someone else.

Not sure whether the following link gets you straight to the T&Cs for the Regular Saver because the Nationwide website is a bit weird. But you definitely can find these T&Cs on their website.

Interest for the Ulster Bank Special Interest Deposit Account (max deposit £1K/mth) will drop to 2.25% AER for balances up to £15K on December 18 2013. 0.5% on anything above.

    :(

Thanks for this as always. Can I ask where you picked up on this please?

That'll be three rates in nine months!!

(Changes include the very popular UBK e-savings rate reducing from 1.25% to 0.5% on the same date)
.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam
  • Other regular saver rate reductions.

Darlington Supersaver(2) Rate drops from 2.55% to 2.00% on 01/01/2014.
  • Hi Folks,

I have added the Darlington Monthly Supersaver 2 to post 4 and that the interest rate on this account and the Ulster Bank account will be dropping as per the posts from innovate and patientperson above.

I will do another update next weekend.

Sadly the Chorley BS Santa Saver Issue 1 (and possibly subsequent issues) will close on 25th November. This is paying 5% but their current regular saver only offers 2%.

Sorry, just spotted that Speculator had already posted this news on separate thread.

also the new 4% Clydesdale / Yorkshire bank current account could be a good feeder account (mentioned in various other posts on the forum)
