The Nottingham BS Summer Saver regular saver account which paid 5% and allowed monthly deposits up to £250 has now been withdrawn.

Hopefully in prep for the next RS they'll offer!

The Derbyshire, Cheshire and Dunfermline 2.5% regular savings accounts have all been withdrawn from sale.

Just got the Dunfermline before it was pulled.

I think this is the downward trend as the Issue 3 of Platinum Saver is released with 2.79% but needs £100 a month minimum.
I expect a new regular saver will be offered but I hope not the interest rate banding as now offered by the Nationwide brand.

It was bound to happen. Loyal members who live outside of the Notts area were not allowed to open by post or online. Some members are deemed more equal than others.

Yes I hope so .. planned to open one in the coming weeks.

I opened both the Nottingham BS 5.00% Summer Saver and their 3.10% regular saver earlier this month. I was not a member of the building society at the time and I don't live anywhere near Nottingham.

I decided to apply and see if they would accept my applications and they did.:)

TSB have launched a new one year fixed rate Monthly Saver account (today 21/09/13) paying 3.00%. It allows deposits of £25 - £250 per month and is available to new and existing TSB current account customers only.

    Further details here.

EDIT: Lloyds Bank have apparently also launched a Monthly Saver account today paying the same rate and with the same terms as the TSB offering. Unlike TSB, at the time of writing this update to this post (21/09/2013 19:12) Lloyds had not updated details of it to their website.

I have just opened one of these as I already bank with LLoyds. Took about 30 seconds to do but note the following point.

Although the information states 3%, when you go into your newly opened account it states it is 2%? Need to clarify this with them.

I would be obliged if you could post a follow-up on this, are you sure it didn't quote 2.4% net?
