From eMoneyfacts re Derbyshire BS and Cheshire BSPLATINUM MONTHLY SAVER end date moved on 2 months and issue number changed. PLATINUM MONTHLY SAVER Issue 2 to 31.3.13 w.e.f. 17.2.12.
The T&Cs appear to be unchanged from issue 1This new issue of the popular Platinum Monthly Saver, mirrors that of Cheshire BS and remains one of the top regular savings rates around. However, investors will need to be able to put aside at least £100 per month to benefit from this. There is the flexibility to make one withdrawal during the 12 month term which is unusual when such a high rate is being offered. The maximum monthly investment is restricted to £500 so the rate is available on limited funds

The Societies' own websites are still advertising issue 1.
As there was no interregnum between the end of the 1st issue being open and the launch of the 2nd issue being open I hope this means it is to be a regular feature in at least the medium term

The website of Cheshire BS has now been amended to advertise the 2nd issue Platinum Monthly Saver

I would be surprised if it lasts long. The last time they ran the 5% Skipton branch only regular saver it was withdrawn quite quickly.0 -

The Yorkshire BS and Chelsea BS Christmas Savers, paying 3.5% on balances up to £1200, have both been withdrawn after close of business today.
I was lucky, as I opened the Yorkshire CS this afternoon at 4pm, and was told then that this was the last day of sale. I got to the nearest Chelsea branch at 4.30pm, only to be told that it had been withdrawn over a week ago.A quick phone call to Chelsea Customer Services followed, and they told me that it was still available until close of business (i.e. 5pm). So back I went to the branch, and after some initial reluctance, they opened one for me with just 15 minutes to go. That was rather close...:j

Hi Folks,
Ipswich BS have re-introduced their Smart Saver account. The details look almost identical to the previous account details. The account pays 3.5% variable on up to £500 per month for the first 12 months. Thankfully, they have removed the rule about closure requiring 14 days' notice; accounts can now be closed instantly. Payments can now be made by standing order.
I have added all the details to post 4.
I have also removed the Barnsley, Chelsea and Yorkshire BS Christmas Savers that have been withdrawn.

I can't see either of the Santander Private Banking (Jersey) Monthly Offshore Saver listed in post #5 as still being available (I can't see them in the onsale or offsale interest rates list)
Have these finally gone now?0 -
I opened up a skipton 5% regular saver on Thursday. I called them to see if I needed to make an appointment and was told that as its so popular they are only opening these via appointments. This was at they Holborn branch in London. Already have an account with them. And was offered a cup of tea while the account was opened. No problems and all very smoothly done.0

Santander stopped marketing this account a while ago but it remained on the list of available accounts in the interest rate leaflet. I can see what you mean Ygor: the Monthly Offshore Saver account does not appear on either the onsale or offsale interest rate leaflets now! I am going to remove this account from the list on the first page of this thread but I will happily reinstate it if the account reappears.
