I did it in July. It was very smooth, probably less than 5 mins.
Maybe now the call centre moved back to the UK, all new staff....who knows.0 -
I did it in the branch today (to replace the one that just matured). Staff member very helpful, all done in less than half an hour or so.0

Did mine over the phone today, took 5-10 minutes and no waffle which was good. Shame you can't view the account online. If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0

Hi Everybody,
I have changed the West Brom account entries with the information mentioned in the post above. There is nothing else that I can find to change and no new accounts with a high enough interest rate to make it on to the list on page 1 of this thread.
I will do another update next weekend.

Scottish Building Society has a new Limited Edition Regular Saver account.

3% (including 2% bonus payable 31/3/2013). Not a great rate but unusual in allowing £10 to £1000 per month (payments can vary from month to month). Missed payments or withdrawals result in loss of bonus.0 -

There are instant access savings accounts with no limits on what you can save per month paying better than 3% though. Granted I would not touch the Santander one though0 -
Thanks a lot for pointing that one out MarkFromMullion. It narrowly misses out on being added to the list on the first page of this thread. I am only listing accounts that have higher interest rates than the third best account on Martin's savings page, which currently means that accounts have to pay more than 3%. Recently the third best account will be better than that for short periods as further easy access accounts paying more than 3% appear and disappear.

Leek BS is paying 3.5%, which is 3% and a bonus of 0.5%. Details here: http://www.leekunited.co.uk/savings/products/bonds/regular-savings
Can't vary the monthly payment, but can have more than one account. Pay in between £25 and £500 per month. Lose the bonus if more than one withdrawal per annum.0
