Sorry, I meant wooden flooring instead of carpeting downstairs, not a porch or hallway!
Because it'd be a big chunk out of the living room.
It is what it is. A heck of a lot of people across the country live in places very like that in layout.movingtomacc wrote: »But you're absolutely right, with the kind of weather we get around here, having carpeting downstairs is a BAD idea without a hallway/porch and I've not seen it in other similar viewings. Wonder why they didn't think of that during the refurb.0 -
You can see alot of it there. I would negotiate hard on it with that price increase https://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/detailMatching.html?prop=56809761&sale=9058300&country=englandmovingtomacc wrote: »Thanks! I was trying to find the old ad for the previous sale but couldn't. Did you come across it at all?
We saw the South Park road ones but aren't fans of that road.An answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......0 -
Not on the Zoopla listing, so probably got sold more "quietly". It's not showing on Land Registry yet, so can't see if it was an A or B sale.movingtomacc wrote: »Thanks! I was trying to find the old ad for the previous sale but couldn't. Did you come across it at all?
Which may account for part of the price difference, right? We saw the South Park road ones but aren't fans of that part of town.0 -

an easy ish partial solution is to get an over-sized doormat made for the hallway bit and then have this recessed and the carpet removed in that spot (so it can be removed / replaced) (with a new gripper for the existing carpet) - but avoiding the need to replace the entire flooring.0 -

I'd do exactly what SmashedAvocado suggests, at least in the short term. You could always then replace ground floor carpeting with wooden floorboards at your leisure. Would look lovely with some big, bright rugs wouldn't it? Really like the dear wee house.....:)0

Different district and county in the address details.movingtomacc wrote: »0 -
Only other thing I'd add is to check out the neighbours being as you're mid-terrace. You don't want a Neighbour From Hell cheek by jowl.0
