I have been looking at new survey sites and trying to work out the best ones, so have low amounts in quite a few which will gradually build. Going to pay 5.71 today from one of them, leaving my target to find for the month as 6.68.

I found my paperwork relating to ppi and the tax I can claim back, unfortunately as we have to do a tax return (waiting on employer) I can't just do a form and get it back now but it's in the pipeline.

In other news we have ordered some new garden furniture which is exciting.  It might take up to 2 weeks to get here but I guess it doesn't matter with the rain as it is.

The garden furniture has arrived and the sun is back out.  We went for a lovely walk and picnic this morning and I have just been doing some school work with my eldest while his brother naps.
I have transferred over 9.53 from a couple of survey sites which has seen me hit my 45 target for the month. Tbh when I set it I wasn't sure how achievable it was so am really pleased and will try again for next month.

So far this month we have OPd by 368.31 which I'm pleased with.

    It all soon mounts up!

Picnic sounds great, especially with the weather we are having.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Wow what lovely weather we have had the last few days. Lots of picnics and garden time with my boys.
I think my furlough will end soon, but will still be working from home which will be nice. I'm looking forward to it in a way as it will help me to feel more secure and get they grey matter working.  I will have been off for over 3 months so a short amount of time compared to maternity leave but long enough to feel I have forgotten things.
I have just done an online zoom interview thing which I am going to get £40 of amazon vouchers for so quite pleased with that but otherwise surveys have been a bit quiet the last few days and will probably slow down when I go back to work.
I have noticed that when I look at my mortgage account atm I am just focusing on the hundreds. I almost ignore the thousands... I am obviously fully aware they are there but seems to help me focus more on getting the hundreds down which I am more in control of on a daily basis if that makes sense.
Almost payday and money shuffle time.

I have just completed the monthly money shuffle and must say I am feeling pleased. The balance after the normal monthly payment if my sums are correct will be 146,705.32, if we hadn't of overpaid it would be 153990.60.
    My mini Targets are:
Save 5k in interest - so far 4148
    6k in EF - so far 4k
I will 'own' my living room when I get to 144k which is feeling in touching distance now.
The OP today has meant that we have now reduced our mortgage by a year this means I will be celebrating with a few drinks. Also that without further OPs I will now be under 55 on completion, and my sons under 21 and 18.  (A few more months to chop off before hubby is under 55 when we finish).
    Some updated figures:
    OP amount 7100.24
    Interest saved 4148
    Daily interest saving 0.53
    New Red letter day 1/7/2036
I will keep going and make a difference to our lives!!
In other news I feel our holiday will be cancelled by the your operator in the next few weeks, tbh I think I prefer that so I can get the money back with me and rebook at a later date.

I will be going back to work the middle of next month, well working from home but good for job security.
Onwards and downwards, let's smash this mortgage
