Slow day for me today. Not much happening. In work on my tod so the day has dragged. Haven't got much to do for the rest of the week either so I think I will spend tomorrow catching up with uni work
getting paid to be here so win/win.
Did a survey earlier for £7.50. It did take nearly an hour to do and was so repetitive and boring but they have paid out already so it was worth it.
Went for a nice 5k walk last night as was sat down most of the way. Literally had 3 coats on and 2 pairs of trousers it was so cold! Will be going for a short walk around the block, a hilly 2k, when I get home. Chilli con carne stuffed peppers are on the menu tonight. We are making an effort to cook at home every day now. Our goal is to not have a takeaway until OH's birthday which is beginning of April, so we will see how that pans out!2 -
Afternoon all,
Received my reimbursement from car insurance this morning which was nice. Never happened before and I doubt it will again!
Just had my lunch, having MyProtein's version of Huel shakes because after the festive period I am just sick of eating, so a nice complete meal in the form of a shake is quick and convenient for me and it is giving my digestive system a bit of a break.
Think I will finish a bit early today seeing as I am on my own here in work. Plan is to pop and see DD for an hour on the way home then maybe another walk this evening. OH & I got out for a short 3k walk last night as I had to drop off a Hermes parcel that I had sold on FB Marketplace. After watching Minimalist on Nextflix last week I literally have not got anything else to sell!1 -
I've added that to my watch list. Think be good for me as I know I have way too much stuff.

We were up & out early doors again this morning for a frosty 4 mile local walk. The paths were so icy it was dangerous in places. We picked up a click & collect Costa on the way using points so didn't spend a penny
Got home to a letter from Lowell saying they were offering a 70% discount on one of my accounts and that I could pay it over 3 installments, so will definitely be ringing them tomorrow to set that up. One less creditor. Lowell actually own 4 of my debts so it would be great if they offered that discount on the rest of them too. Will wait and see.
Got another uni online lecture now 4-6 and then a steak dinner tonight. All in all, a good day0 -
Hi all.So I received a reply from the one creditor that I’m trying to set a payment plan up with saying that they would accept my payment offer but for only 6 months, then it would revert back to my contractual payments. So I replied basically saying thanks but no thanks! I said I wanted my account closed so that no other interest or fees could be added and that I could actually make a dent in my balance, otherwise as soon as they start adding interest again after the 6 payments, all my payments would just get swallowed up. So will wait and see what they say but not hoping for much luck.
Just phoned Lowell who offered a 70% discount on one of my accounts and they have adjusted my direct debit so that in March the balance will go down to zeroin fairness Lowell are fantastic to deal with, their online portal is so easy to use and they aren’t pushy at all. Which makes you want to deal with them rather than hiding away like some of the other idiot companies that make you feel like you’ve murdered someone. When dealing with those companies my wall automatically comes up and I don’t entertain them.
Have DD over this weekend so will be going out for a sunny but chilly walk around the local park soon to get some fresh air.Have a great weekend all.1
