I know that - that's why I only use it for Amazon purchases. I don't take it outside the house to ensure it doesn't get used anywhere else.
I have a couple of other cards - one for points and the other for cash back - to in different places.
All cards are set to clear every month.0 -

Don't see why that's a problem, the card's single biggest selling point is the reward points you get for Amazon purchases, which are doubled if you have Amazon prime.
Easy enough to change it so it's no longer the default if you wish.0 -
It's not problem it is just that there have been stories about people not realising applying for an Amazon card would then make it the default, overriding their previous stored card details.
It's OK as long as you realise this.0 -

I have no stored cards on Amazon so it should be ok for me. Does any one know the annual income level to get the Platinum card, if its to high i will probably be put on the classic version, if i had an idea it would save time applying for the Platinum card if the annual income level is too high.0 -

amazon and aqua are horribble. I have both cards. When they reject for 'fraud checks' its a nightmare because their ofices are not 24/7. I got rejected using my card on a sunday once when i paid of a meal. Couldnt call them because they were shut so was embarassed at the resturant. Had to use other means. Sorted out the next day when there call centres were open but its too risky using it as your main card out of opening hours. Its happened to me two or three times now0

I have applied more than more than a dozen credit cards. My personal experience Amazon credit card is the worst one. I applied for Amazon new days credit card just for the price reduction.
Also they keep forcing you to use it on Amazon purchase. Just be aware of your fist statement, they never send you the statement by post. They said they sent it by email, I never received such email. Also there is no prompt to set up a DD. I almost get a late mark on my credit file last year because of this mistake. It is unbelievable that Amazon, a highly respected multi national company want to pair with newdays which I believe is managed by a bunch of Amateurs.
I just only happen to know, when they call me but they said it is already late a few days and I paid immediately. Thankfully it was not in my credit file. Needless to say after clearing all of the balance I canceled it immediately.0 -

This is why you never rely on one card.
It saves supposed “embarrassment”0
