mandco what a total nightmare and how frustrating. It feels like when you try your best in difficult times, something comes along to make it even harder.
Re the game in Sainsburys - are the staff able to go and get them for you? I did hear that some stores were offering that as an option, they just didn't want people browsing the shelves unnecessarily. Failing that I'd be very tempted to just go down the aisle and get them myself - esp at a quiet time in store. If they run a promo and you're shopping you're hardly making an unreasonable trip.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Def not your week mandco.
Daughter didn't make it into college, frustrating when we'd paid in advance for her rail ticket. Her MH wasn't up to it. I struggled too with the bad day she was having. Today has been better.
I spoke briefly on-line to DS. He said him and housemates are finding they're bored. I would like to get them a game for Christmas so they've got something to occupy them. They've got the usual card games, including cards against humanity. Any suggestions. They are 3 of them, 2 boys, 1 girl all early 20s.4 -
It might seem a bit wrong, but the board game Pandemic is really good!5

If she wasn't up to it then staying home was the right call - Being a parent is tough enough but seeing your child suffering and not being able to fix it is heartbreaking so please take care of yourself and your MH too
Dd had a girly week away a little while ago staying in a cabin and they all took various games with them aside from the obvious drinking games they also took - throw throw burrito ,the cat game, frozen unicorns ,soundlicious, connect 4 shots and a few more basic ones like jenga, dominos, uno ect I'll ask her later if she would recommend any others
other ones to consider are ones like bean bag toss/ring toss/nerf target shooting/over the door basketball anything that can get a bit of competition going
Kerri - I didn't think about asking so I'll do that at the weekend nothing lost if they say no

Another game, albeit a bit messy would be Pie Face, or the one where you put a gum shield thing in your mouth and try to talk (though that to me seems like a trip to the dentist.
They prob have it and it's a bit old fashioned but Cluedo is a fun one too perhaps.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Another board game I can recommend is Ticket To Ride. It sounds boring (building train routes) but it is very good. There’s a board game cafe in town (with hundreds of games you can play) and pre-lockdown my daughter used to go there regularly with friends. She says TTR was one of the most popular games they had.4

If anyone else would like to join the Christmas card exchange please let me know, the more the merrier! xxA smile costs little but creates much3

'Pandemic: you're living in one currently, why not try the board game?'

Got some lovely window stickers online today which I will use to do window displays on all my windows. Ordered some napkins in a traditional picture type which were reduced again online. I do feel sorry for these shops that have their christmas stock but can’t sell any of it. There is going to be a mad rush when lockdown is lifted to go Christmas shopping. Went into b&m the other day to get some food bits and the Christmas aisles looked like banshees had raided it.£2 savers club 2025 #2= £485
