Is anyone else being annoyed by the number of people on tv who insist on saying reindeers instead of reindeer or is it just me? They don’t say sheeps so why can’t they get it right for reindeer? 🤷♀️

I’ve been for my eye screening today thank god that’s over for another year .We had a look to Waitrose for a change I have to say I was underwhelmed and won’t be returning any time soon . Christmas stock is almost non existent and what is there is a bit random . Gave up looking for Gluten free items as what I did find was way more expensive than the same items in other supermarkets.5

Evening all, rather lost the enthusiasm to post after March this year for obvious reasons but have been doing some xmas prep and reading through the thread but lurking. Did just have to comment though, Peppa I used to spend Christmas with three of my cousins, the youngest being a couple of months younger than me. Myself and the two older ones knew about S before he did so still carried on for him. I distinctly remember my eldest cousin getting a severe telling off from my aunt for telling him just before he started secondary school. Her responsibility was "mum, it's for his own good ".

Hi all, I've not posted for a long time, probably similar time to Kerri_gt but have been lurking and reading!
I've got my two girls birthdays within the next two weeks (14 & 8 - how do the years go quicker, well not this year I suppose!) which I'm all done for but hoping we will still be able to go to the sealife centre on the 7th. We're currently tier 1 but Birmingham is Tier 2 so we shall see!
Christmas, I'm done for the 8 year old - so easy to keep buying for that age but the 14 year old is more tricky, still need 1-2 more things and stocking fillers. She also has no idea what she wants other than 'Crafty Ponies' items which I've bought but with her autism her and her sister need exactly the same amount of gifts which is why I need to keep an eye out for 1-2 more things.
I bought for my 8 year old How Winston Delivered Christmas - an awesome book for younger children with a chapter to read each day of December with activity ideas too but I'm coming with a cheeky ask if there's any Christmas or winter themed books they would recommend for a 14 year old to read? Not romance though! I also need to get them some Christmas pj's, hard to find matching with their sizes. A lot of the family themed ones don't take into account teenagers!
Has anyone noticed Heart Christmas has started back on the radio? My girls were delighted - not that the youngest has stopped listening to Christmas music, she puts on Micheal Buble Christmas album on every Sunday whilst we eat dinner!

Hello all
My study is being taken over by Christmas presentsI’m working in there at the moment as I’ve gone back on the phones and what I’m saying can’t be heard from next door. My study is very small and the presents are piled so high they’re almost touching the ceiling (to be fair that sounds a lot worse than it is!) I live in fear of an avalanche of presents raining down on me when I’m on the phone to a customer
I bought a gift from OH to myself and it arrived the other day- the 2021 Ronan Keating calendar. OH rolled his eyes when it arrived (probably due to the sheer amount of random Boyzone/Ronan rubbish I’ve been buying off Ebay since I saw Ronan in concert in September) but that’s my first gift!It was my mum’s birthday at the weekend and I went home on Saturday to take her out for a birthday meal. I had spoiled her rotten- I bought her a cushion, a Name a Star, a Dove set, an Elemis set and a warm scarf. I also sent her a huge bouquet and donated £10 in memory of my dad to the British Lung Foundation on her behalf. I took her out for Sunday lunch as well, and we had a lovely time. She kept telling me she was so grateful and she was very lucky but I shouldn’t have gone so overboard. I’m hoping that she doesn’t think I’ve gone too crazy when she sees what I got her for Christmas!I noticed her favourite Jo Malone candle had almost burned out so I’ve ordered her another. I’ve also bought a Harley Quinn mug for my brother and a Willow Tree ornament for my sister. I’ve got a parcel coming from Studio in the next few days with more paper so I really need to get cracking with the wrapping up. I’m just waiting for mum’s bread maker and candle, (the mug and ornament are coming with the wrapping paper) and then to get OH’s rugby calendar and then I should hopefully be done! Morning. I managed to nip over to Primark without kids! Usually I have one daughter who loves to come. I got the girls the mickey and Minnie Famjams. I didn’t think my DS (13) would want them. So I need to find plain T-shirt & shorts style pj’s for him. I also got my youngest the cutest sloth hot water bottle. I swithered on whether to get my eldest a panda hot water bottle. They are very cute and she loves a hot water bottle, especially to take to dancing on cold nights. But she is embarrassed by everything and everyone at the moment 🙄.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:4

We went into Hollister and though each one smelt amazing on DD, it didn't do the same on my older skin, so decided not to risk it. I'd decided against the ebay one, as I know too many fake items end up on there. Also a few years ago I was given a Jo Malone candle - it was a gift for partners at a swanky weekend hosted by DH's employers so I know it was the real thing.I saved it 'for best' then for some reason the box and the candle became seperated, only recently found. I lit it and the fragrance has all gone. As I have a poor sense of smell anyway, I thought it just me, so got DD to check and she confirmed there was nothing there. I know I said Mum's spray is still fine, but she's had it in use, no guarantee another would be the same.
I also tried Victorias's secret. They didn't have their mango spray in and they've also gone to the same stupid pricing policy which Hollister used to have and why Mum ended up with one in the first place. 1 spray costs £15, but if you buy 2 or 3 then the price changes so they net down considerably. So, I thought I'd try Superdrug as mine stocks Victoria's secret sprays without the same daft pricing, but they didn't have any.
Got home feeling quite frustrated that the shops are currently so poor of stock that I struggled to buy a bodyspray and had an email from Bodyshop telling me I had hours left to use my birthday £5 reward.
So once that and Dad's present turns up. I have the following
Mum - finished
Dad - finished
FIL - finished
Nan 1 - finished
Nan 2 - unable to buy till nearer the time, due to being in a nursing home
Neice - finished.
That leaves household members only. I've been buying presents throughout the year since 1997, but this is the first year I'm so early finishing off. I may put off wrapping until DD returns to college, on-line or otherwise.6
