It's been a while since I've been on one of these threads, but after an influx of new products over Christmas I feel I should join back in!
I'll do a stock take and PP list over the next few days. My main aim to clear is skin care - I've heard brilliant things about Beauty Pie but can't justify signing up and buying more items until I've used up what I already have!0 -
Welcome to the new and old faces.
ponypal - It will be a while before I make the handcream but I did find a recipe using shea butter, oil such as jojoba or sweet almond and beeswax. I also watch a youtuber called 'Fairyland Cottage', she makes her own body butter using shea butter, cocoa butter, oil and scented oil and she has a video showing how she makes it so I will be trying that too, I expect it would work as handcream as well. I am saving a few pots in preparation for it and have found a website where I can get the raw ingredients at a good price with free delivery (LiveMoor).Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

soap (shower gel or bar, which is better?)
Honestly I think you will end up saving loads of money if you switch to soaps! I have over the past year for sure, they take so much longer to use up. Even if eventually everyone has to have their own soap that they are responsible for.0 -
Swapped over from naked heat palette today to ABH soft glam. Going to use it for the month and see how I get on. The colour story in it isn’t the easiest to come up with full looks and I must have only used it a handful of times if that. Will be interesting to see how the month goes with it. Crazy to think I just hand £40 quid over for these things without using them0

Hi all,
I used to post on this challenge a few years back, but have been lurking recently. I need to join back in properly to make a real effort to use up my stash this year. I still have items which have moved house with me twice or three times. I'm sorting through items and disposing of things that can't be used or donated.
I'm starting with easy uu wins such as sachets, samples, half used items and making a small basket of PP items for the month. My goal is to use up at least one moisturiser (lotion, butter, hand cream etc) and one soap per month (i'm not focussing on sizes of the items, just outs). These are my two problem areas.
I'm particularly enjoying your mantras Dolly84, I'm trying to become more sustainable and eliminating plastic, but first I'd like to use up all the stuff I have rather than chucking it (money spent and all that).
Does anyone know of any recycling schemes other than the Body Shop or TerraCycle for items like lipstick/lipbalm/mascara tubes?0 -
I really need to join! I have quite a stash, especially after being gifted so many items over Christmas. I'm 100% guilty of buying something and not using it, pretending to myself that by buying it it somehow works even without using it.
I'll do a full inventory when I get home. The main thing I'm hoping by joining you is that I will start using these products and take the time on myself.0 -
First out for the year. Soap and Glory hand sanitizer, would I rebuy, probably if I had none. Moving on now to one in stocks Cath Kidson grapefruit and ginger0

It seems weird how the popularity of Soap & Glory has changed. I went into two different branches of Boots recently and they both had loads of S&G in the sales.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
