All I've managed is a tiny bit of mending on-the-run, i.e. mending my leggings whilst wearing actually them! The Wedding has taken over every spare moment, the excitement levels in this household (and the bride's) are through the roof and almost every conversation gets hijacked round to what the girls are wearing on their feet/hair/faces! Bridesmaids dresses are sorted - tried on yesterday & they both looked stunning - I have a dress I'd be happy to wear & 6 months to find accessories, the Dress itself is sorted and they're even discussing what to dress the poor dog in.
Everyday clothes-wise, I'm not in need of anything much except - new leggings! They don't make them like they used to, you know...Angie - GC Aug25: £207.73/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)2 -
@thriftwizard, I'm impressed with mending leggings whilst wearing them. Every time I wear mine I spot some tiny holes along the front - perhaps I need to take a leaf out of your book and take some cotton to work with me.
One of the CS blouses I bought over the weekend has loops for a belt, but no belt. So I looked online and found a pattern for a macrame belt that I thought would probably look good. Have found a pattern to follow online (but if anyone has any recommendations I'd be pleased to have them) and I found that Aldi are selling a pack of Macrame yarn in just the right shade - £3.99 for 4 x 50g balls so nabbed a pack at lunchtime. Have never done Macrame before so watch this space
4 more coupons spent and I am up to 41 coupons used, yikes!! But I will have lots of Macrame yarn left over so I may need to find some more patterns.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Everyone has been busy.I have some coupon spends to report. I bought 2 more pairs of knickers (4 coupons) and I made a pair of jogging bottoms (3 coupons for material) for lounging around at home in when you don't need to go out. I'm really pleased with how they have come out.I have been ill over the last 4 days so I sorted out my wool and project box I am now working through a load of baby wool to make things for my local premature baby unit. I'm rather enjoying it knowing I am doing something positive with my surplus stash. I also found a load of of knitting kits that I have for toys etc that you get as free kits with magazines. I now know that if I want to do something, and I don't want to spend money, I have loads of things to pick from in one place.I'm going to try and stay away from making "clothes" this month from my stash just to give my coupons a chance to last a bit longer and to concentrate on getting through the non-clothes projects I have in mind.Whilst I have been ill I have been binge watching Miss Fisher's Mysteries on Netflix. I just find the 1920s style so elegant. I really would like to try and start making clothes in that kind of style. I may start looking out for 1920 style patterns to see if I can do it.In the meantime my current coupon count is 36.5 coupons used, 48.5 left.

I'm gearing up to sorting out all my clothing in he next couple of months!
I've had some work away, not much but it had to take priority for an annoying length of time inc preparation, which is now done and dusted and home this evening, hurrah, and we've had a very worrying time I can't go ino but that's all resolved as being less bad than it looked like being, and now it feels like I can stop being half-frozen into immobility by worrying, and having to focus on the paid work thing and so on...
I can Get On With Things properly now!!!!!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

@Laura_Elsewhere big hugs to you for your “worrying times”.
@CraftyLittleLisa - I hope you feel better soon. I love the Miss Fisher novels and tv series. Did you know that there is a movie? It’s currently playing in cinemas in Australia and the USA.
I must confess to being a little biased. As well as them being set in my home town, I used to sing with the author, Kerry Greenwood, and her partner. I had dinner with Kerry the night after she signed her first publishing contract.- Pip"Be the type of woman that when you get out of bed in the morning, the devil says 'Oh crap. She's up.'

Hello Everyone, I'm still not getting my daily emails from the forum so can only access the website intermittently (and it's been blocked at work as they are having a clamp down!). Is anyone else getting the daily updates?
Pip, I remember you saying about a website for when you need a bit of yarn that has maybe been discontinued, but I can't find it. Could you remind me please? A lady in the WI needs a couple of balls of Hobbycraft WI yarn and can't find it anywhere.
Also had a good buy in the charity shop on Saturday, a pair of Per Una trousers reduced to £1 and they fit perfectly!Stash busting challenge 2025: 0/100 £0/£100 Fashion on the ration 2025: 0/665 -

No, the daily updates haven't been re-instated. I keep hoping they will be. (My work are OK at the moment. My previous employer blocked personal emails but allowed you to spend all your time on eBAY and other shopping sites. I can't remember if they allowed FB, but they did allow MSE.)
The website is Ravelry. http://www.ravelry.com/. You do have to join it, but it's free. Once a member, search for the yarn and then click on stashes to find people who may want to sell.

Hello All,
Another ebay bargain added, 99p wallis blouse, is a light pink with floral pattern (not overly busy) loose cross over style with a lower back. Not my usual style but Im thinking with a pair of jeans and some white pumps will be a nice spring/summer outfit.
Next plan is to start some sewing for the summer, a new coin zip purse for starters using some fabric I have in the stash already. Going for a ditsy toadstool print and light blue gingham on the inside, all pressed, just need to get started but my sewing machine and I have a 'testy' relationship

Well, I've succumbed! A long sleeved T-shirt from the M&S sale yesterday. It will replace a much loved apple-green top which is now running into holes - not that it owes me much as it must be 10 years old at least. So that is 5 points from my total of 85 points (66+ 19 carryover from last year).
