Finally dusted off the sewing machine (and the iron on wunder web) and took up the hem on two skirts and reduced the leg width on a pair of trousers (all charity shop finds). I got a very reduced dress in the sale last year as it had the zipper pull missing, so I added a little tag to the zipper and also turned the epaulets around as they were a bit big the other way. So my wardrobe has grown by 2 skirts, 1 pair of trousers and 1 dress all for nothing. I feel like I have truly joined the fashion on the ration thread now. I was a bit tired by the time I did the last skirt and managed to turn the lining up the wrong way - but it actually doesn't matter as no-one but me will see it. Really pleased with it all and my work wardrobe is complete.
The one thing I am definitely short of is footwear, but I need to make the most of my vouchers so I am taking my time. And I would love to buy a coat (or two) but I need to drop another size first - and of course spring is nearly here (well that's what I'm telling myself) so maybe I can wait until next year.

lovely makes ladies!
lots of PhD's (Projects Half Done) being awarded too with your adjustments and mends.
Im now performing an ebay intervention on myself after winning:
Pull and Bear Short length camel chino trousers, H&Mpaisley print harem trousers, a Wallis floral print wrap over blouse with a hi lo dip front to back, with one bid left to go on a pair of space pattern leggings! I am convincing myself that because I stick to 99p bids and don't get in again for 24 hours, I don't have that ooooh shall I just bid again? to secure the win thinking but similarly, I probably put in a few too many 99p's in general LOL
Discovered in my yarn ordering that I underestimated how much one skein was going to do on my blanket so I've now calculated I need double LOL luckily though, its a blanket and in Stylecraft chunky acrylic so they're only £1.95 a skein and there's often a 10% code for the site floating around. Its quite soft yarn for an acrylic. But I cant cash afford that till next month anyway so will no get started on the fingerless mittens I promised myself using some lovely green yarn I was gifted, and some more pot covers.

Mind you, I'm distinctly weird with eBay - I decide what I would pay if I say he thing in a charity shop, and then put in a bid for that-minus-the-postage, ie the total is my "happy to pay that amount" and then I just leave it til I get a notification one way or the other...It means I never pay more than I intended, and I rarely lose something I really want because if I really want it I put in what I would be prepared to pay... and I still seem to get great bargains

More spending for me - three pairs of leggings to be chopped off short, edged with lace and worn under my skirts - what do I class those as? Long-leg knickers? stockings? half a pair of pyjamas?!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:
