For many years I used to drive barefoot because driving ruined the backs of my shoes (and yes, it is perfectly legal). I think that was in the days when I wore heels. Now I mostly wear boots or flat shoes, I don’t bother taking them off but if I’m wearing my best work black court shoes I always change them.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.4

I had to re-create my account. I was previously Crafty Lisa Hampshire. I couldn't get an email sent to me to re-set my password for some reason. I now need to find all my challenges.
An update on my purchases is a new pair of knickers which is another 2 coupons. That leaves me with 59.5 coupons I think. I need to re-do my signature so that I have a tally.

Welcome back, under any variation of your name!
It is remarkably nice, seeing so many old 'faces' in here and lovely to have new people joining in too, from all the different backgrounds and for all the different reasons we each do this...

I got a response to my email to the Forum Team. They have a post specifically for snagging issues: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6100014/new-forum-snagging/p1 . They request that we read it through first, and if someone else has already mentioned an issue, please don’t report it again because they don’t want duplicate entries on their snagging list.

Update. It's my lunch break and I've got to page 19 out of 89 on the snagging issues thread. The lack of a daily/weekly digest subscription to an individual thread has been mentioned multiple times but, so far, I've only seen one mention re changing text colours. Also, you may have noticed the "double spacing" of text when you're typing up a comment - it disappears when you post.

Another couple of coupons on sock wool - and another pair of ankle-socks started, in a kind of coral-paprika solid, and a self-striping in orange, cream, pink... very summery and cheerful!
I am also working out what I actually need this year. My thin cotton-mix grey poloneck, that is so useful as an underneath layer, is wearing thin all over because it was only ever a cheap shoddy one... so I shall look for another one, in better quality. I am tempted by the gorgeous vivid green one in M&S but I know that actually a mid-grey is more versatile, so... and I would like to buy a couple of pairs of leggings, to chop off above the knee and edge with crocheted wide lace to wear under skirts - and I think I would like to buy better quality ones that maybe won't wear out on the inner thigh quite as fast as the cheap ones I've been buying - I have a stack of those, about 7 or 8 pairs which have been patched and re-patched and I really would like nice undies that aren't patched, for heaven's sake!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

5 points used on a pair of cheap and extremely comfy skechers type mary jane shoes to wear as house shoes, better for my ankle joints than slopping around in my sheepskin slippers. Then the very next day I found in local CS a pair of BNWT real skecher mary jane shoes in vivid, glittery pink for the princely sum of £15, these will be for my caravan kit when the weather improves. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. I attempted a repair the other day which had never occurred to me before I got involved with this challenge. I had a pair of opaque tights with a hole in the toes. I was just going to take them to the allotment to use as ties but then I thought "I wonder if I could?". Any way I attempted to sew up the hole and used the tights the other day and it stood the test of time. No coupons as such but a success on something I never would have thought of before. Thanks for the inspiration all.

I'm glad I'm not the only one trying to prolong shoes, I always feel a bit daft switching my shoes when I get somewhere lol.
I have a spend to report today, the TU sale got me! In money terms it was a steal! A spring coat - I'm calling it that because it's pale coloured check and unlined - half price then the 25% off, so a coat for only £14 something! But 14 coupons, which sounds such a lot! So I'm down to 52.
It actually got me twice, I also got some black jeans with cute little embroidered hearts but I was super sneaky and sold them to my mum to give me as a birthday gift as they are very 'snug' but the size bigger too big (I'm a tight skinny jean fan). So I have till May to get down a size!
I've decided to dedicate the rest of today to sorting out my wardrobe, putting the Christmas jumpers awayand figuring out if I have any needs - 'allowed' purchases. x
I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.

Got caught in the Tu sale too. A lovely scarf - was £12, down to £6 in the sale and then another 25% off so £4.50. I've already got one in a different colour and have meaning to buy some wool and knit another. Pleased to get one ready made as I am so short of time and motivation at the moment, but I have promised myself to get the needles out again soon.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10
