I had been improving my sleep by using an eye-mask, a freebie from a long-haul flight years ago, in nasty cheap synthetic beige and brown... but now I have used some remnants and things I had, to make a lightly-quilted shell-pink satin sleep-mask, with tiny 1.3mm glass beads! It is making me smile just to see it on the bedside table
And no coupons!

Oooh, that's lovely, Laura!
Seems I'm going to have to part with some coupons before too long; DS2 has done the on-one-knee thing & she said yes! So a Dress will definitely be required...Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)8 -

Ooh, one drawback to the new site - the opening post is no longer at the top of every page, so I've had to open Page 1 in a new tab to see the coupons-list, instead of just scrolling up to glance at it...
I wanted to confirm - yep, hats are coupon-free.... oh come on, you have to have a fabulous hat as well as a fabulous frock!!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

Very glamorous, @Laura_Elsewhere.
Congratulations @thriftwizard. I hope you find the perfect dress.
On a different note, I’ve emailed the forum team (forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com) to ask for the digest emails to be reinstated. (I can’t cope with the volume of individual emails either.)

Oh well done - and I hadn't realised I could do @PipneyJane and it will nudge you about it (f your settings are for being nudged, of course
)
And thanks, both of you! It's a bit haphazard and wonky but I don't care - a friend has envied it enough that I think I might see if I can do a slightly better job next week and send her one...2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

Just checking in, I have gone and ordered my boots. Managed to get a 10% discount, but still over £90
. Hope they fit as they will be a good spend for 5 coupons and should last a long time. So 14 coupons spent and just under £140.

Thank you for the warm welcomes
I do sew a little, and knit very badly! But I did complete a hat and one sock over christmas. My Nanny was a knitter, so I would knit with her all the time but I had never finished anything until the hat, and my grandma used to sew, her mum was actually a seamstress by trade. I actually have a few big old trunks of sewing goodies that I claimed when we were clearing grans house when she died, we think they were great grandmas, but they may be older.
I'm learning already, thank you Laura! I had been wondering about resoling some boots, so I've taken notes and I'm going to brave it! And I've adopted the rule that I wear some cheap primark slip ons to drive in to try and save my nice shoes as it's always my accelerator foot that goes first.
All this talk of shoes! I never wear shoes in the house, I have always spent more time barefoot than in shoes. I actually work from home and most days I only go as far as my studio thats about 20 steps from the front door which is often done without sany on!We do have chickens though so it's a quick shoes off as I go through the door at other peoples houses and I always have socks in my handbag to put on instead. As never wearing shoes leads to horribly dry feet.
I am actually very proud to report 3 shopping trips and 0 purchases! I even went looking for running socks but couldn't find any I liked. Though I may have to buy a new gym t-shirt next week, I can't find the one I like and not having 2 in rotation is putting limits on when I can go to the gym, and I'm reluctant enough of a gym goer as it is I don't need help with excuses!
I hope everyone has had a good weekend and not got blown away!I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....5 -
pixtotts - I don't drive in my nice shoes either, it really wrecks the back of them.
