I knitted a practice/test piece just to play with colours and textured knitting, and only some weeks after having finished it and left it lying around slowly unravelling itself did I realise what a nice wrist-cuff it would make, although on trying it on, it turns out it only just goes over my square paws with a struggle. So I knitted a second one to match it, anyway, and now I've challenged a few friends to come up with the best reason/ sob-story/ plea for why they should get them, and I'll send them on to someone with smaller paws to enjoy
I quite like them though! This is the idea for those sleeves (the sort of bolero thing to wear under my cap-sleeved jumpers). But the textured cuff won't work for those as it is completely un-stretchy so no good for sleeves I want to be able to push up!

They are beautiful wristers, @Laura_Elsewhere.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger. I agree, re Jacinda Aherne and New Zealand. She comes across as a people person, who genuinely cares about others. The BBC has a profile of the Finnish PM, who is another woman that I wish I knew in person.

Jacinda Ardern.... I love the notion that went round after her re-election: that the UK must declare war on NZ and then immediately surrender, thus making us ruled by her... please, yes, please!!!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

@Baileys_Babe, the lovely thing is that you can make them any size - use thicker yarn and a jumbo paperclip, or thinner yarn and small ones... very adaptable! And dead easy...2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:
