I've so missed charity shops. Mooching in one with a friend, finding a little gem or a good book then going to a coffee shop for a natter. It is the little things...

It is great you have Cornwall to look forward to :)
Thank you.  Yes, it's the little things that will be nice to do again :)

I phoned the window company today and they should be calling me next week to do the garage window and also measure up and order the kids bedroom window.  Finally we might make some progress (if they do call back).

Not having much luck with the electrician or someone else we approached about doing something else.  Why is it so hard :(

I’m having the same problem with trying to get contractors
Sorry to hear that.  It's so frustrating isn't it.

I hope your window man turns up. We've booked our regular builder in to re-render and paint the house, but they can't do the job until March 2022, so we need to be very patient! All contractors seem to be super busy at the moment. Probably because everyone is spending on home improvements instead of going on holiday. Also our plumber said people weren't getting him in to do jobs during lockdown as they were nervous about having someone in the house, so there must be a backlog of jobs that people are booking in now.

I miss charity shops and coffee shops too. I couldn't care less about pubs and not too bothered about restaurants, but I miss my book bargains and my coffee 😂 .

Good news that your books are wanted by the buying sites :).

Paid £13 off the mortgage this morning with survey money and have also redeemed £5 amazon voucher too.  I've still been doing my PADs every day, so it's creeping downwards slowly.

DH took the kids out on the dog walk this morning and little miss has come back with a scrape all down her leg from falling over.  I've used up some gauze to cover it up, but it looks painful poor thing.

Just done an order for summer school uniform, mostly for little miss.  Little jwil seems to grow less, and I overbought for him last year.
