Well done on sending twelve parcels, that's amazing 😇.NeverendingDMP said:Well done on the parcels. Yes it is potentially storms and bad weather. Hopefully it wont be too bad. Weve had hail stone and wind so far. Hope your weather is nicer.Just wet and miserable here and cold!

Just sitting here and listing stuff for ebay when I heard the boiler fire up. Checked the temperature and found it was down to 14c. Didn't feel that cold but have shut the back door. I leave it open as much as possible for the dogs but 14 is a bit chilly.

Sounds as though you had a lovely Christmas jwil. eBay sales are a bonus. I had a 'Vicar of Dibley moment when two Christmas dinners were delivered 😂😂. I knew about one but the other was a surprise. Nothing went to waste though there was enough food to keep me in dinners for three days.

That was a nice surprise and nice not having to cook for a couple of days. I hope you enjoyed your day as best you could.

Another quiet day today, I could get used to these
I did tidy away the new toys, and tidied a bit upstairs as well. I want to take the Christmas tree down now, and leave the lights up a bit longer. I think DH might disagree though, he'd prefer to leave it up til 12th night. I prefer to start new year afresh so would like to take it down by Thursday if I can persuade him. I don't mind the lights though.
I've been dipping in and out of my new books. One of them is 'Joy at Work' by Marie Kondo. I don't need to declutter my work desk (a, as I've already done it and b, because I'm not there!) but it is making me itch to start getting rid of stuff again!
We've finished up the last of the turkey and gammon tonight. I'm very pleased, we haven't wasted anything, and also haven't been left eating it forever. We didn't go overboard with the fresh stuff, so the fridge is looking good. We do however, have stacks of chocolate, cake and biscuits! We got given loads this year. At least they will last. DH bought some more of the big boxes of family circle today as they were only £1 each in Mr T. The kids like these and they are dated until October so at least will last most of the year."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I've taken the Christmas Decs down today.... first time in nearly 50 years that they haven't stayed up till 12th night... didn't feel like Christmas at all, but I'm looking forward to next year!
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
