Morning everyone
I will make a solid effort this evening to catch up properly on diaries, no doubt OH will be glued to the PlayStation at some point tonight so I'll have some time to do so.
I printed off the job role for the job assessment on Thursday and he went through the list of competencies I know I will need to give solid examples for, as he is good with pointing out what I do that matches them. I tend to read it all and my brain just kind of stops, but when he points out where I match them I can then sit down and work on the examples by myself. I am practising here and there copying paragraphs of text as I know there will be a typing test. I also asked a friend's mum to get in touch with me as she used to do the role, and has moved up but still knows people who do it, so I managed to get a little more detail about the job and the test. That's not cheating, right?!She just gave me a general idea of what to expect and wished me luck.
The thing I am looking forward to most is the lie-in on Thursday. I do believe I will give it my all as I really do want out of my current job, so badly. There will be some initial investments if I get the job, such as some high quality blackout curtains and some decent earplugs as there will be night shifts on the rota. However, the salary is much better and I would be doing something much more interesting and meaningful. I wouldn't be able to do as much SE work but that would balance out with the increased normal salary
I got woken up at a decent time by the kitten this morning who seemed like he was trying to copy the human version of kisses, briefly putting his nose and mouth to my face, pulling back and doing it over and overhe truly has brought a huge amount of joy to my life!

Thank you beanie
Morning world - feeling very tired today, I honestly think it's the sitting round for hours at work not doing a lot that keeps me in sleepy mode. I am looking forward (as I've probably already said) to being able to have a bit of a lie-in tomorrow. We've changed up kitty's evening routine a bit to calm him down when we're going to bed and he seemed a bit better last night, he took himself off downstairs to play when he wanted to play then came to sleep between us when he was tiredwe also got a harness so he can play in the garden before he is neutered and chipped so he had some good fun jumping around outside there yesterday.
On a sad note, OH rang me when he got home from work yesterday about 5ish to ask if I'd shut the kitten in the downstairs loo?!?! I definitely didn't as I always throw a toy in the hallway to get him away from the front door when I leave and OH said he didn't either, so somehow he opened the downstairs toilet door and also got shut in?! Weird!!!! OH said he was squeaking loudly when he got home so he did find his voice but I felt absolutely devastated that he'd been shut in for god knows how long squeaking to be let outamazingly he didn't go to the toilet or anything in there, so I don't think it could have been all day that he was shut in, but we can't work out what happened! He got SO much fuss when I got home and lots of cuddles, and he seems okay thankfully. It honestly made me so sad the thought of him being in there. It made me even more relieved I had received the harness and could take him out to play in the back garden, though
Hoping today goes quickly, it generally does the day before I have a day off as I have areas to tidy up and declutter for the cover guy, so I generally manage to keep myself ticking along2 -
Aww I did that so much with my boys when they were kittens! One got shut in the bathroom a few times and one I even shut in the big cupboard at night
it's a horrible feeling but sounds like he's alright! Maybe he did it on purpose for some extra fuss 😉 kittens are sneaky little things
