Awww @SSDD23 don't be so hard on yourself. Sometimes life just happens and, in fairness to you, there has been a global pandemic that's thrown us all off track in some way or another these last few weeks
You've done the debt paydown before
& you've already got a plan of attack, you can do this! 💪3 -
I’ve no doubt it been eating away at you but now you can focus on a plan and getting back into the groove of things.2

Thanks Dancing & Dan
Forgot to mention I also have an overpayments Monzo pot which will get the little survey odds and ends go into to make an overpayment on a debt at regular intervals e.g. 2 weekly or monthly.
One of the best things if I get this new job (other than the salary increase) is direct savings deducted from my wages, easiest kind of saving4 -
Some small wins for this evening:
- (Not as gross as it sounds as it was mainly eye makeup remover pads and empty bottles in the bin) went through the little bathroom bin to find my nearly full floss that one of the kids had obviously knocked in at some point - no need to replace now
- DIY’d some draw dividers from a cardboard box, they are terrible but will do until I get some stronger card
- Juggled the meal plan to keep today a NSD as I needed Chinese five spice so will pick that up later in the week for our Kung Po Pork
- Brought home the Douwe Egbert jars id kept at work to re-use to clean out and get a bit crafty with for food storage jars rather than buy any more
- cashed out a whole 10p from TCB to see how quickly PayPal pays out from there, got it the same day
Did lots of cleaning bits and bobs, now just relaxing with a hot drink before I go and have a shower then tint my eyebrows2 -

Hi SSDD23 - I am sorry to hear that your debt has increased again but ditch the shame. It doesn't help - and if you are anything like me - shame robs me of motivation. I found I needed a compelling enough picture of what life will be like once we are debt free. For us that is choices over to work full or part time or to be able to retire earlier than we otherwise would or possibly move to the country. It still hasn't stopped me from spending too much this year though. It has been a really weird year for all of us. My food bill is shockingly high - so much so I don't share it LOL - so I have huge room to talk. I've also been buying stuff for the house and garden - and building up CC debt - that yes I can pay when the bill comes - but it is potentially robbing me of my longer term goals - as I am paying debt down much slower than I possibly should be.
Be kind to yourself. These are weird times. Dust yourself off. You can do this.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
