happy new year and thread!
get the dog, you will easily do 5 miles and achieve some other goals too
on another note:
2020 pounds earned from my creative work in 2020
20 hours a week focused creative work
that is not a great deal of money compared to hours worked?0 -

Glad you're planning another trip up to the tartan land, and what better way to travel than at 50% less cost than last time?I'm website stalking so I can get home for 50% cheaper too but the tickets are not yet released. I love Scotland
Now if I can just get the bursary...fingers crossed

Yes £2020 is not much money is it? But it is an ambitious target believe it or not as in the first few years the likelihood is there isn't money to be made unless I teach and I don't want to do that at this stage. Once my product is created I begin to earn but that takes a few years to get going. The £2020 target has to come from monies awarded to me.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I love your quote about building the foundation under dream castles. It is a difficult balance, head in the clouds and feet firmly rooted in the earth but I think this is where a sense of purpose and achievement lies. All the best.0

It is a Thoreau quote and best describes what I am attempting to do.

I missed an appointment that I thought was today. Rearranged, but embarrassing all the same.
Everywhere feels damp and dark. I’ve put the humidifier on in the kitchen.
Feeling nervy today with an upset tummy although I’m not sure why that would be. I diverted the nervy energy by cleaning and sorting.
Decluttered:
3 old cupboard food tins/jars
5 jar bands
8 small side plates
Pan lid
Old medication
Box in hallway
Baking rack (I don’t have an oven !!!!!!)
4 items of clothing
An old radio (kept the box and lost the receipt)
Handbag
Washing done and drying on rack
Dishes X4
Pans from bottom cupboard washed
Cleaned:
The inside/on top of a cupboard X1
The inside of a cupboard
Under my bed (so much dust no wonder I’m wheezy at night)
Hoovered dining room
Wishing myself and all of you, a lovely, relaxing eveningIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Hi DIA - good news on the windows!
Hope you're feeling better today, but you've certainly got through plenty of cleaning and decluttering!
A few posts ago you mentioned recommendations for a household cleaning book. I like one called '30 Days to a Clean and Organised House' by Katie Berry. She has some excellent methods. You can take a look at it on Amazon. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

It was really nice waking up to a clean kitchen and opening a cupboard to find it all clean too. These things affect me and chip away at how I see myself so I must keep on top of this. I may not be able to have the kitchen I want right now, but it would benefit me if it was cleaner.;)
Yesterday was a NSD so I couldn’t buy eggs. All well and good, but nothing for breakfast. I toyed with eating out for breakfast but that negates a NSD so I will eat some leftover baked beans and an apple and make a list instead for a small shop.
I go to make a payment for windows today. Then I need to focus on finding a plumber.
I’m going to order a few library books today. I pay £1 for new book orders but cheaper than buying them and they don’t clutter my shelves. :money:
Work-wise that workshop application that I lost a few days ago has a deadline of guess when? Yep. Today. So that is my job for this afternoon.
My farm veggies arrive today hopefully. I get them once a month. They are delicious and veg and miso soup will happen soon. This farm supports vulnerable people too and I wish I could afford a more regular box. Yesterday I did the things I said I would EXCEPT the workshop application where I missed the deadline  I've been better at not leaving things to the last minute but a massive fail on this
I did another 4 mile walk yesterday. I was tired on the way back but the moon was stunning and it was a real treat. I want to see more full moons and sunrises and sunsets this year.
I bought another travel ticket yesterday. I should find out if I was successful in my bursary application next week. If I don't get it I am in trouble as I will have cheaper tickets (hurrah! :T) but to a place I can't afford to go to.If I wait until I know the bursary outcome the tickets will be more than double the price. It feels like playing the markets or roulette. Why is buying reasonable priced train tickets such a stress experience in the UK???::mad:
I bumped into someone I knew on the street and we went for coffee and ended up talking for hours. (She spoke AT me actually most of the time) We have arranged to meet for a coffee next week. This person has a complicated life with lots of issues from her past that she talks about constantly. When I got home I thought about it and (selfishly) will try and allow this to fizzle out again as she drains my energy and I need what I have
I will be AF and on a NSD today

Good luck with the bursary
Don't sweat the workshop - I find things I miss deadlines for are usually those I didn't truly want to go toI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0
