I’ve been unwell with a cold so I don’t feel this week has seen much progress.
However, I am grateful that I have bounced back although my nose is so sore the skin is shredding! I forced myself to go out last night because it was a friend’s special event and it will only happen once so I had to be there. I left a little early but that’s okay.
I wore my new cardigan that was reduced in the sale by 60%. It still wasn't cheap but it is very well made from 100% quality British wool and will last many seasons.
It looked lovely and distracted from my sore nose (I like to think).
I haven’t eaten the right way so my joints are inflamed especially my knees. I am defrosting a free range turkey breast joint (YS) today that I will have tomorrow with tons of veggies. Good protein and veggies will get me back on track.
I went for a facial and my skin looks(and feels!)much improved. I used the college so still MSE :money:
I shaped my eyebrows instead of paying to get them threaded. :money:
A high energy bill arrived. I could be better with saving electricity by turning lights off, not using standby etc and I will be, but I am relatively careful and I refuse to be cold so it is what it is. I can pay it so it could be worse.
Shopped for a book to read from my bookshelves instead of buying or ordering book from the library :money:
Decluttered a yoga mat/a teapot/a gift box/old light fitting/comb/shaver/boots/shoe bags.
Today I will potter and rest as tomorrow is another busy day with 2 social events.
Wishing you all a positive end to your week.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Hi - you've reminded me that I got a book for Christmas that I haven't read yet. I'm half way through another on Aud1bl3Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well done on the eyebrow savings. I am seriously contemplating doing my own nails, what first world thoughts lol. It is good that you are making a quick recovery from your bug. Have a great weekend.0

I have just completed my last social obligation. Maybe obligation is the wrong word but I do feel there has been lots happening socially. I am so excited to have next week to myself. I need a hardworking week with lots of NSDs under my belt.
The weather has been wet ad without a dryer, washing is just piling up on me. This needs urgent attention. It is impossible to convince myself I am in control when dirty clothes are piling up
I have a damaged knee that has slowed me down today. Poor mobility is ageing and I moved like a much older person. I didn't like it. So I need to help myself and I can do that by getting some weight off and relieving the pressure on the joint
Tomorrow is all about prepping for a really frugal, healthy, productive week
Wishing you all a happy Sunday for tomorrow

I read this recently, "Messier's study concluded that for every 1 lb of weight loss that occurred, there was a resulting 4 lb reduction in knee joint load or knee pressure". My area of weakness is around my ankles, but the above statistic is spurring me on.
I think Sunday is a great day for prepping, hope you have a good one.1 -

Hope you feel better this week DIA . You have been doing loads and it's the season to have colds , headaches and flu etc .

As for the knee , check that it may be because you've changed footwear recently . You can get a poultice ( not sure of spelling ) , where you put a sock like device into a microwave and rest it on your weak points . There's always sprays . Hopefully it'll pass in a short time and not too much of an inconvenience .
I had a haircut last week and the lady did my eyebrows as well .
Good move really , as my friends kept telling me I looked like that Russian .. Brezhnev .
Anyway , have a good week ..0 -

I am still decluttering as I go. Another IKE3 bag full of stuff out of the house yesterday including 2 yoga mats. I am buying them but not doing yoga! The mats are made of toxic material. I am not sure why they are so popular with the yogis.
I have meal planned for the whole week :T
Three loads of washing, drying and ironing done. Three loads of dishes washed. Veggie curry made. (yesterday) :T
I finished paying my annual C/T. I have spent this in my head, earmarking a £800 spend when I total all my plans. Shame the CT saving is a fraction of this amount…Ah well I enjoyed the dreaming.
I have juggled figures so I can pay for the windows, a high energy bill and new clothes. I have so many little note books with rows of figures and crossings out in my life. Just think, somewhere there are people who just pay stuff without a second thought. Constantly being aware of money takes up headspace although nothing like the stress of debt.
I am thankful I can pay what I need to when I need to. I will focus on ensuring this continues.
I am thankful my knee is improving.
Have a good day everyone
