Good luck with your eyebrow treatment chanie. Hairdresser, pedicure and eyebrow wax/tint will be high on my list when personal care gets back on track. Like LL said, most other things I can do myself at home. I'm quite pleased with my hands and nails. Lockdown has definitely helped there as I'm spending more time at home in the evenings and caring for my nails while sitting on the sofa.
I forgot to say that I did buy the rose Jo Malone take off in Aldi last week. It's fine for every day use. It's a shame that Aldi don't do all their dupes as regular stock, rather than specials.
I'm experimenting with going back to my usual Friday food shop this week. I changed to Thursday when the lockdown started to avoid queues but it's hard to get used to the new routine. Although I always do a meal plan, I was running out of things midweek. Some of that will be because we're having all our meals at home when we usually eat out at least once a week. I may have to queue more but it'll help me feel that life's a bit more normal.
So I'll be doing my make up for Fab Friday and my trip to Aldi! I know how to live!

Hello Ladies,
Chanie, I hope your eyelash curling kit is a success. It will save you lots of money if it works really well for you.
I have been busy continuing to do lots of home cooking, housework, reading and watching television programmes.
I am feeling so much more like my old self apart from the fatigue. I used to be fine on 6 or 7 hours of sleep, but now I need 10 plus hours to have the same level of energy when I wake up. There are still days when I have a nap in the daytime, when I never used to have naps.
Tesco have finally got so many more delivery slots, that now I can have 4 delivery slots booked with pending orders at a time, so I will only be using Lidl for mid week top up shopping when necessary. I am still stocking up as I have the space to store the non food and food items. Prices are already being increased on certain items and I believe that when the global recession really starts to bite we will see more price rises.

That's a good point about price rises sugarbaby. I always stock up on certain items when I see offers or from shops I rarely go to but haven't been doing much shopping around lately. I'll certainly take your advice on non perishables. 🙂
Spooky, but I was thinking about you earlier when I caught some gospel singing on tv. Is that something you've ever done? 🤔 Good to hear you're building your strength. 🙂
We had a short walk, just under the 4000 steps. We went close to the city centre where there's some beautiful Victorian and Edwardian architecture. I've really enjoyed 'standing and staring' at buildings that I'd normally whizz past in the car. It's still very strange to be able to cross main roads with almost no traffic.
I'm keeping up with all my usual pampering routines. My hair is getting longer though. I'll soon be able to clip it up at the back. 🙂6 -
Maman, yes, I have done gospel singing in a church choir when I was in my early twenty's. It was a Pentecostal church that I went to as a child and a young adult, before I got pregnant with my 1st child. As a result of being part of that choir and attending the weekly choir practice, I became a much better singer and eventually was chosen to do a solo in church. I was surprised but deeply gratified at the compliments I got from members of the congregation at the end of the church service.5

Good afternoon lovely ladies.SUgarbaby.....I think you are right about impending price rises. I think it's a good idea to stock up on some non perishables if you can. Glad to hear you are beginning to feel more like your old self. The virus can be a brute if you get it badly and it seems like it does take a long time to fully recover. I thought how ill Boris Johnson looked last week when he did his TV address, clearly not fully recovered.Well I'm keeping busy. Last leg of the kitchen cabinets now. Just the drawer fronts and they are a doddle. I have decided I'm going to try and paint the floor coverings rather than renew them. The kitchen is tiled and the dining area is laminate and I have two lovely large rugs so it should look nice. It would save me a fortune too. I'll have a break first though before I tackle them. Probably get the new cooker fitted first.Nice weather again today, and the forecast looks good so just going to concentrate on the garden and soak up the sun next week.Maman my hair is growing at a rate of knots too. I experimented this week, and tried not to wash it so often. I'm going to try and keep it up and see if I can reduce how often I wash it. If I am going to grow it then if I were to wash it every day like I normally do the ends would get very dry and start splitting, Twice a week would be better if I could manage it, so perhaps now is a good time to try.6

Thanks for that sugarbaby. I thought by the songs you choose for karaoke that your voice would be ideal for gospel singing. 🙂
I wash my hair every other day LL. Sometimes I let it go a third day if I'm not going anywhere. Because my hair is high maintenance and has to be blow dried, I try not to stress it with too much heat. The only exception is my sunshine holiday when I have to wash it daily because of swimming and getting hot and sticky. That won't be happening this year though. ☹️5 -
Sugar- you are right things are getting a bit dearer. I noticed that the food bill seem to be a bit higher. I have cut out all junk food and am eating more vegetables. This can off set can price increases a bit. I don't mind paying more for nutritious food rather than buying junk. I think you do the same.
It is worthwhile getting some shelf stable goods if you have the space. I honestly have so much that I want to keep saving more. I know that bills are coming soon, I have to be prepared.
I am starting to prefer shopping on line for groceries as i can see the total. Whilst some items in Aldi are cheaper, I tend to buy something stupid like household stuff or clothing. On line shopping allows more control of the money.
I spent the day washing, drying and looking at items to decide what to keep and what to donate. I am being really careful about keeping nice things and will let go of items that just are not right. I have really been looking at a lot of videos of slow fashion.
I am making a list of things that I really want. Currently I don't have a jacket or tops that are not hoodies or super formal. I really want to get a few casual but not too casual tops for summer.
I want to get a nice pair of jeans in a dark blue and new trousers in black and navy.
I don't honestly think that i need or want anything else.
My plan is really spend a bit of money on something right than loads of money on stuff that is not perfect. I have loads of quality clothes that lasts years and some that i culled last year were fast fashion, out of fashion and not a great fit. Any ideas for semi casual jackets would be appreciated.
I washed the hair and used a new hair oil. The head is like really not great, I used way too much conditioner and then oil. Oh my goodness, It is boarding a disaster. Sometimes new products take a bit of learning to use less to get the best out of them.

Sft I think a belted mac or something quilted could be a nice semi casual jacket. I think you will need something fitted if you want to avoid looking too casual.

They do a jersey one that I like the look of as well, havn't spotted it reduced enough in the sale yet to go for it.4 -
SFT I do buy lots of fresh meat, fruit and vegetables every week, but unfortunately for me I am also an inveterate snacker who loves chocolate, cakes, biscuits and crisps, although I am snacking more and more in moderation and concentrating on having lots of nutritious home cooked meals.3
