sugarbaby125 said:Hello again Ladies,
I cannot remember who asked me about my jerk chicken wings, but I use the following seasoning in generous quantities.:
1. Schwatz jerk seasoning
2. Schwartz piri piri seasoning
3. Tesco onion granules
4. Freshly ground black pepper
5. Ground cumin
6. Ground coriander
7. Tesco mixed herbs
I just rub the seasoning all over the surfaces of each chicken wing, making sure they are all well covered in seasoning, then roast them.6 -
sugar your meals look very healthy and yummy.
Discussions about winter have helped to focus my mind and get me back on track with my organising and decluttering. I needed a break after my hard few weeks of decorating, but it’s difficult to get motivated again (particularly when the weather has been so nice). Tomorrow, I’m going to write a list of all the jobs I need to tackle, as I find it helps to keep me focussed.6 -

i made refried pinto beans, rice and kale with spinach curry, meal prepped for lunch.
I ended up nearly scalding myself as I fell asleep with a cup of herbal tea in my hand. Only mild damage but it really scared me. I have to be more careful as I have done it before.6 -
Be careful Saving. The food sounds yummy and very healthy.6

I just had a bath, shaved my legs and did a face pack. I tried on the size 16 black shirt dress I got from Dorothy Perkins as it is cooler today and I was raging with how big it looked on me. I was saying to myself it looks like a coat! Then I thought, hmm, I didn't ever find a trench coat I really liked so I will keep it and buy a new belt to cinch in the waist and use it as a coat.
It would be fine on not so chilly autumn/winter days over a jumper. I'm quite pleased with that buy now.
I am hoping to order some stuff from Superdrug in a minute. I have been binge watching The Real Housewives the past few days. It has been fun. It is nice to live vicariously through them as they are always going out for drinks, meals, parties and holidays.

Since we're choosing, I'll have the King Prawn stir fry please sugarbaby. 😋 I love stir fries, so fresh and a brilliant way to get fresh vegetables in a tasty way. My favourite HM sauce is a tbsp of soy, 2 tbsps of honey and a generous splash of lime juice (from a bottle from Aldi!).
Oops sft, that could have been nasty with the tea. On a more humorous note, my DH once did the same with a glass of red wine and managed to splash 5 different sofa cushions with it! Fortunately we have loose covers so they were in the washing machine PDQ!😁
Wednesday, I've been reading lately about 'shackets'. Apparently it's a thing which means wearing a shirt like a denim shirt or similar as a light jacket at this time of the year. So your shirt dress could work exactly the same😊. One of my very best buys is my Zara long, shirtdress. It's so versatile and I particularly like wearing it with a thin long sleeved top, leggings and boots underneath.
I read an article today about the demise of M&S. One comment was that they've not woken up to the fact that now that people like Keith Richards are pensioners, nobody wants to buy beige crimplene trousers any more! 🤣 I could have written it myself. I started thinking though my wardrobe and I never habitually buy form M&S any more. The very few things I have from there are years old and/or came from charity shops.
Exciting news is that I've booked an eyebrow wax and tint for Friday!! 😀7 -

Hello Lovely Ladies.Pensioners just ain't wot they used to be!!!! Beige crimplene trousers. 😂🤣.Thankfully no one turns a hair what women of a certain age wear and there are some fabulous stylish clothes out there. Just not in M&S. 😟.Such a shame to see an institution like that lose its way. They have been on the slide for Quite a long time now haven't they. Like you Maman I havent bought clothes from there for years. Some of the menswear is still good but their women's wear is just dire, poor design, dreadful finishing and inferior fabrics. I swear Primark do it better at times. Last year I bought a fabulous mustard coloured coat from a Primark - okay it was man made fabric not pure wool but at £23 it was stylish, a nice colour, a good fit, well finished and fully lined. M&S had coats that were costing four times that and they weren't nearly as nice. They were dowdy and frumpy.M&S can't even fall back on the old "made in Britain, saving British jobs" Routine that kept them going. They pulled the plug On British manufacturing to chase profits and look where it's got them. They alienated their old clientele who wanted to buy British, tried to woo the youth market, tried to compete with Next and Primark. They got it so wrong and even George Davis couldn't save them.....For anyone who doesn't know. George Davis started Next, it was his baby. I think there was a falling out with the Board at some point. Then of course Asda picked him up and launched their George range. M&S then got him on board thinking he would rescue them but it didn't work.....The sad thing is they are missing out - big time and it didn't have to happen. The purchasing power now is with the Grey £, not the youth market and not women in their 30s and 40s, they are too busy servicing mortgages and shelling out on their children. Its mainly the over 50s who have the most discretionary Income, they are the ones M&S should be wooing.Over 50s are a canny lot.......we dont necessarily want cheap but we do appreciate value for money. We want style, we want quality, and increasingly more of us want to know that our clothes are ethically produced and as environmentally friendly as possible. Many of us would also love to support British industry and see more clothing manufacture brought back to the U.K. It sounds like a tall order and I'm sure it won't be easy but if M&S dont address those issues no amount of restructuring will save them. They are dead ducks. 7000 jobs to go apparently. 😟.Where would you now go to buy a good quality pure wool coat, or a nice classic jacket or even a nice work dress. Time was M&S would have been youR first port of call, not any more. Even their knit wear and underwear isn't what it should be.Interesting about the "shackets". You aren't going to believe this but way back in the mid 70s I had a fabulous denim button through knee length dress. I loved it, it was so versatile. I could wear it as a dress, sometimes with a fine knit sweater undeath. I could wear it demurely buttoned almost to the knee for work or I could undo a couple of buttons if I wanted to be a bit racy for a night out. . 😂. I also wore it as a coat. It was a fabulous wardrobe staple and I got lots of wear out of it. It wasn't cheap but it turned out to be a real investment piece.Rain here today......so catching up on some housework in between painting a cupboard.8
