Love my pic LL 😍
Omg I just said the same, about Cummings having a hold over Bozzer! Even David Cameron hated him apparently!
I'd like to say i'm surprised at the government's handling of this situation, but I'm really not 🙄🙄"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

We had a nice bank holiday weekend. I wanted to go out somewhere nice eg the countryside or beach, but as everyone else had same idea, we have stayed put. We bought a big paddling pool for the children so have spend a lot of time in the garden, enjoying the weather.
from BoJo’s update, it sounds like open air markets and shops will be able to reopen over the next month. I was telling OH that I was quite looking forward to visiting the Sunday Market, as I saw it on a TV show recently.

It is good to read that everyone is well and getting out.
I totally revamped the wardrobe on the cheap. I pulled out items that I have not used in ages and found removed items that were not flattering. It is amazing how much I had kept that is quality and classic. I am using more tailored clothes now as it makes me stop eating. I have a list of a few things I need- some woolens in neutral colours, a tan belt and a pair of skinny jeans that flatter me. I am being more mindful of what i need and that is good. I have always had a good eye for bargains and classic clothes. I just need to add a few more casual stylish bits.
I found a video on mood boosting style that might be of interest to fellow fabbers. The brains neurotransmitters are affected by the clothing and we get positive benifit from upping our game for ourselves.

good morning fabbers....haven’t posted for a while, but reading regularly. I do so love this thread, support and knowing what you are all up to and thinking. agree on the cummings debacle. I could vaguely agree with the trip up north but not the excuse to go to Castle Barnard, should have just tried to go home then turn around after 30 min s if necessary. I was puzzled that no one asked him if he wife could drive, or why she didn’t drive home if he didn’t know he was well enough? anyway.....savingfortomorrow, you asked about intermittent dabbing. i read Michael Mosleys The 800 fast diet 5 weeks ago, which includes IF and TRE, time restricted eating. Started the eating plan 4 weeks ago, it’s BRilliant I think. Lost 8lbs in 4 weeks, and it’s been easy. I wanted to lose what I thought was my last 7lbs and finding it hard. Well I have done that and realised I want and need to lose another 6.6 lbs (3 kgs). Before, I wouldn’t have no hope of doing that, but now I know I will do it....So I eat lunch at 1 and dinner at 6, so effectively fasting between 6.30pm and 1pm. In the mornings I drink hot water or lemon and ginger tea so a true fast. sometimes I drink normal tea from 11am with milk, but still doing the 16:8 TRE or more. One of the keys has been using his recipes. He has a recipe book to go with it. They are fab! really. been cooking for me and DH and for three weeks he kept saying he was losing weight without really realising why! I do give him extra things I don’t have, as he needs more calories. But the recipes feel luxurious, based on med. diet. I input everything into my fitbit so can track calories and macronutrients. this lockdown has been ideal time as not going out to eat, nor snacks in meetings etc. I highly recommend. Found it really is a way of eating - no hunger pangs or desire to go off piste! Great support thread on facebook too.6

good morning lovely ladies.Well done on the weight loss saving more
I am pleased to say I have lost 5lbs already. So pleased. Feel much better. I’m doing a combination of my version of WW which is basically a cross between paleo and the Mediterranean diet and a reasonable fast overnight so a late brunch style breakfast, usually around 14 hours. I have switched my main meal to a lunch at around 4 and then a light supper at around 8. It seems to be working well for me. Snacks are fruit. No bread or grains and very little dairy. It can be a bit more expensive because you can’t fall back on cheap carbs but I do my best to keep costs down by eating lots of fruit and veg.For me it’s worth it because of the health benefits. No IBS or GERD and it keeps my blood sugar levels right. It’s been a lot of trial and error but I think I have now found the best way forward for me both for my weight and my health.Another beautiful day here. Going to divide my time between gardening and a bit more decluttering. A neighbour has suggested we could perhaps go halves on a skip. That would save a bit.I have really landed on my feet here the neighbours are great.
wednesday. I meant to add my pennysworth to the advice about retirement complexes. My advice is don’t, They do not hold their value. They are devils to sell and the maintenance charges can be eye watering. When my time comes I will rent. Hopefully not for a long time yet. 😂.I did work as a manager in a complex which was owned by a nationwide charity, called Anchor Trust. They have properties all over the UK. Our residents rented. To my knowledge Anchor do not sell their properties. I would definitely consider them or something similar but hopefully not for a while 😂.
We also have several other charitable trusts here.....not sure if they are local or nationwide. We have the Guinness Trust and the Liversage Trust. Again all properties are rented. The Liversage has a very good reputation. We also have council provision for retirement housing. Some of it very good indeed. All charitable trusts and local council provision benefit from fair rent policies and of course security of tenure. Some of our charitable trust housing is actually made up of beautiful Edwardian almshouses. Wouldn’t mind one of those at all. 😂
There are some lovely Liversage properties just round the corner from my son, pretty Victorian terraces, set in a conservation area. If my son decides to stay where he is for the long term which, given the schooling nearby may well be the case, then I might very well end up there. The senior school is literally next door to them and it is currently the highest rated in our city. They are just looking at primary schools and I think they will settle on the local convent school which also currently enjoys a good reputation. I do have my reservations about catholic schools (being an ex convent school girl myself) but they assure me it’s not “not too catholic”. 😂😅. Anyway it’s not my decision. So I’ll probably move closer to them once they have made a final decision. Nearer to the city too so no need to own a car. I will probably move within the next couple of years so I can be around for occasional after school granny duties.Just going to play it by ear. I still fancy a swanky apartment by the river first though as my next move or a nice little mews cottage.I keep an eye on Rightmove.5 -
Candy......brilliant.There are some great jokes and memes going around. My son sent me something interesting....
craigmurray.org.ukTurns out that Glaxo Smith Kline have a plant at Barnard Castle. They were open the day he went there. Two days after Cummings was seen they announced they were going to be manufacturing Covid vaccines......🤔🤔
if that’s the case and it’s all legit then why didn’t he say so. Or is it the case that there are some dodgy dealings again. GSK have form. They are not above bribery and corruption. ALLEGEDLY. 😉5 -

I'm glad I mentioned it on here as I would have researched it myself obviously but the information you have all given me means the idea of a retirement property is right out of the window now.2025 GOALS
