    The MFW board is fine - but I agree it has some more serious diarists on it... who are focused solely on mortgage and little else where DFW board seems to have more of general life on it. Every diary is different though. Well done on your EF.

    My mortgage payment has hit the account now so current balance is £87,120.  That's £60 off the capital this month.  We're into a new month now, my account shows that I'm on the SVR instead of a new rate.  A wee bit nipped about this since I gave plenty of warning to the MA but I'm hoping it will all sort itself out this week.

    My mortgage rate confirmation is finally through.  1.57% fixed for two years.

    The monthly payment works out at £100.77 less than my previous rate which means that I'll definitely be paying £100 per month off the capital for the next two years.  This is good 🙂  I can then decide what extra payments to make.

    I'm not sure exactly when this will start.  The date on the letter is 29th July but the rate on my internet banking is still the SVR.  Worst case, they take the SVR rate in the next dd and charge me the SVR rate for this month.  Annoying but doable within the budget.

    I have just moved £1,500 of my EF into a different account so that it's a little less easy to get my hands on.  Thought if I said it out loud (here) I'll be less likely to poop myself at the balance when I log in to the account I normally use 😆  Memory is awful these days.

    These days I'm not usually wishing the months away to payday, which is far less stressful than the years that I did.  This month though, seems to be an awfully long month.

    We have had some problems with neighbours who moved in about two months ago.  I'm so upset about the whole thing that I just want to put the flat on the market and get rid of it.  Only thing stopping me is that we don't have somewhere to go to.  Well, that and the bits and bobs that need done to it so that I can get a decent price for it.  I don't even care that I would have to pay the ERC and the new rate hasn't even started yet.

    Been chatting with LMG and discussing about buying together with our joint salaries.  It would be a push but doable.

    Just playing around with ideas.
