Glad that the forum is settling down for phone users. I like the coffee idea. I hate the turn taking- how do people ever remember whose turn it is? I also find that sometimes I don't then order what I want because I don't want to make the overall bill larger.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The forum is becoming much easier for me to manage. I'm still struggling a bit with when I try to use the user control panel function but it works sometimes and not others so I'm not sure if it's a phone issue or not but I only really change my signature once a month so I can deal with that. My only other request (if anyone is listening) would be to have access to my bookmarked threads without having to use the very useful link that @astrocytic_kitten provided. I am using the link as it's far easier but I either have to press the back button several times or come out completely and use the link to get back in again when I'm finished reading a diary. Plus, I like to wander round the forums sometimes and if I go for a wander then want to go back to bookmarks I have to come out then use the link to get back in.savingholmes said:Glad that the forum is settling down for phone users. The coffee situation is with my family; Mum, sister, niece (age 3) and me. LMG joins us when she's not working. We're really close and spend a lot of time together. My Mum takes the hit on most of the coffee bills (she insists). We made the plan that we would take turns each week and that has worked for a long time but my sis and I felt guilty that Mum kept paying regularly so we're now trying out this new way. Sometimes I'll have cake, sometimes I won't. Same goes for the others. It doesn't really matter. I'm just finding it easier to scrape together £3/£4 each week instead of £10/£11 once or twice a month. If this was with friends rather than with family we would have worked it out differently 🙂Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Quick check in. I've not been on here for a while. Still plodding. Trying to self isolate as much as possible. LMG is with me. We have some food and toilet roll. My job is safe for now, I'm one of the lucky ones. Health-wise I'm ok. LMG is young, fit and healthy but I worry for her MH at this time.
I might try to catch up with other diaries at some point but I'm concerned about my own MH (concerned it might dip - it's okay for now) so I'm trying to stay off social media and only watching the news once a day.
Keep safe everyone xxMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Hi GAP - glad you and little Miss okay. I think MH will take be strained for a lot of people. We are going to have to find a way as a nation to lift our spirits and reconnect. Not sure what that will look like. We are both working from home - and will only venture out really for meds and supplies. Getting food delivered where we can - but they keep missing off TP.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
